Greetings from the UK, fellow pheronauts! Well am I glad I happened upon this site. I fell into the world of [pheromones](https://a314.com/) quite unintentionally after reading an article in my daily newspaper the other day on the history of perfume (not my usual subject matter) and decided it was time to invest in some decent cologne instead of the usual christmas bottle of Old Spice! That took me to a great site called [basenotes.com](http://basenotes.com) where there was an article on the whole pheromone phenomenon. Being an intellectually curious chap, I did some more digging - and here I am! A little about me. I’m a youthful early 40s white male and currently single. I’m 5’7 and 12st (168lbs) - not in the best condition for a guy of my age/height. I would characterise myself as being naturally on the reserved side, but this is exacerbated by my negative body-image and relatively low self-esteem. While I am highly qualified (PhD), confident intellectually, and comfortable in the company of friends, I find my confidence drops to zero in everyday social situations and especially when it comes to women. As to sex - forget it! I tend to self-censor and avoid potential sexual situations (rare as they are) because I’ve developed a chronic case of what I call ‘Groucho Marx Syndrome’ : I wouldn’t want to sleep with a girl who’d sleep with a guy like me! Before you all think what a sad-sack loser(!), I recognise this self-destructive cycle has got to stop, and I’ve decided finally to do something about it before I’m condemned to eternal bachelorhood. And from what I’ve read here, pheromones could be just the solution to give me a bit of a helping hand. After doing a bit of research I placed an order for A314 with IShine and TUTH to-go. On reflection the TUTH may be a mistake initially and I should have opted for Ammo instead, plus a coulple of the more social -mones like IO or IH (hopefully those nice people at Andronics might throw in some freebies (hint hint!) but we’ll see… I have an interesting opportunity coming up next week to test these ‘in the field’, which I’m really looking forward to. My best mate from uni is getting married in Germany. A lot of our mutual friends will be there, including plenty of Alpha-type males (think banking, hedge fund, lawyers etc) all well advanced in their careers. So this will be a good test of the A314. Then there is the social side, and the wedding reception. I’m salivating at the prospect of all those tall blonde Saxon Überwenches (think Cameron Diaz in Lederhosen in the film Charlie’s Angels)!🙂 However, because my order will (hopefully) have arrived only just before I fly out I won’t have the opportunity to find my sweet-spot before hand, and will be straight out in the field where I want to stand the best chances of getting a good mix of social status (m) and sexual interest (f) straight off the bat. I’m also concerned about the prospect of OD-ing on TuTH - especially as it will be the first time I’ve met the bride and she’s been saying how much she’s been looking forward to meeting me (I wouldn’t want a DIHL hit from the bride of my best pal on their wedding day - not good!!):o So if you’ve read this far, thanks for hearing me out, and to end, a couple of questions: 1. What would be a good method/mix to try (from A314, IS, TuTH)? I will have a couple of nights to try it out - social gathering in a local brewhouse the night before, then wedding/reception on the next day/evening. 2. Will I need a cover cologne, and if so what would people recommend? (I’m after a classy evening/social cologne, something with a bit exoticism but not too musky and overpowering). Welcome. You will need no cover cologne, however the products scents are light, so if you choose to use one it would mix fine Mixing comes with time as you learn what the products do for you! Once you have a grasp of a few products, you will be able to discover mixes on your own. TUTH might not be the best option right now, but I bet you will notice changes in yourself through use of A314 and shine, that you will have reason to notice it in no time. All three products can actually be used to boost your confidence, so maybe you shouldn’t actually discount TUTH just yet. It can add a sexy vibe to A314 without being overly sexual. Try TUTH at about 2-3 sprays to start off if its normal strenght, given your age you shouldn’t OD very easily. [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) might suite you well for your next order, and IO and IH are great things to have on hand. Your gonna have to work on your confidence to see results with these products. Your a better catch than you might think, and everything that you don’t like is fully within your grasp to change, you just have to do it. Thats the key to be succesfull with mones, realizing that you have the power to control your situations, the mones just help to influence things to where you want it. Cheers for the reply Maidenfan (like the name btw, I take it the pun was intentional) - Do any of these products have a perfume in addition to their natural scent? And, - would A314 /IShine elicit any type female IOIs on their own (either in combination or individually) without the need for the more overt TuTH? ---

Welcome. I don’t have much to add to what Maidenfan has already told you. Actually A314 and IShine is what I started out with. I think they work remarkably well together. Then again I think each are amazing by themselves. A314 will definitely get you hits if you look for them. There is a post in the men’s tips forum that discusses IOI’s you may want to go over them to make sure you won’t miss any. The issue is that when using A314 it’s possible to become out of reach without a social like IO unless you are willing to smile and bridge the gap. Hope that helps. The products come in a light citrus cover scent. Its actually quite nice. Ammo comes in cologne strength. The normal ammo smells soapy, while world edition smells a bit floral. A314 and IS can give you IOIs both individually and together. However, it won’t be as obvious as what you will get with TUTH. Which is not a bad thing. Its not always appropriate to wear TUTH and it could cause some discomfort in your targets. Learning when to use each is important. ---

Many thanks for the feedback guys. Really helpful stuff. Just a matter of a few days now until I can find out for myself if/how this all works. I’m considering keeping a journal, but in the meantime I’m enjoying reading all the fascinating threads on this forum. ---

Welcome to Pherotalk Arcadian! You certainly had a lot to say in your introduction. I note things like that when I have new clients. It means that your writing skills is gonna be put to good use when you start reporting and posting your juicy stories on the forum.
