Hi all, I am new here and to the use of [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/). I am male, 53 yrs old, a bit overweight and may hair is turning salt and pepper. I stumbled upon this site through a comment on one of the seduction formums. I am trying to learn to become a PUA (Pick Up Artist). People are thinking. Why would a 53 year old want to be a PUA? Haven’t your nuts shriveled up and fallen off? Well, I was just like many of the people who’s stories I have read. I was a wall flower at clubs and parties. Never could talk to women. Guess what, that never changed. I was always shy around women. The more attractive the woman the worse I got. I didn’t marry until I was 37 and while I am reasonably happy, The problem never went away. Am I planning to cheat? NO. But at different points in ones life you tend to evaluate what is important. What are your goals? In other areas of my life I have successfully met my goals. Money, I’m not rich but I own a business. Have a home and nice things. But when I accidentally stumbled on the book “The Game”, all that stuff from when I was younger came back to me. And guess what, it was still with me and it still bothered me. I believe I got where I am today through persistence, but not with style and flair. So I got to thinking, is it too late to change this? Could I be the friendly, outgoing, fun guy who can flirt with women? (and probably piss my wife off). I don’t need to bed women. But I would like to be attractive to them. Are you familiar with the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving? They teach regular guys how to drive formula 1 racing cars. Now of all the people who take the training and drive the laps on the course only a small percent will ever actually be in a real race or win a trophy. They all own cars. Some probably even drive mini-vans. So why take the training. Fear of driving fast? A quick thrill? To push beyond their limits? Achieve a dream or goal? Learning skydiving may be similar. What about the people who are afraid to fly in planes? Statistically that is much safer than driving to the supermarket. But fear is irrational and doesn’t care what logic says. Not pointing a finger, but, is there anything you are afraid of? Is it logical that you are afraid of it? If it was important to you and you had the opportunity to learn to get past that fear would you do it? Does your personal fear ever affect other things in your life? Are there things that would have happened differently if your fear had not jumped up and controlled you? Will your future be different if that fear never controls you again? Yes, I am married. I got lucky. She is a wonderful person who I love. Though I will admit that I don’t always like her. I am sure that there are things about me that she doesn’t care for. She is social and has a circle of friends while I am more of a loner. She doesn’t understand why her social group does not appeal to me. Guess what, they are all women and I am not comfortable around women. Add in the fact that she got religion and most of them are church friends and now I really don’t want to hang with them. So please understand that this is about my personal growth. Approaching, Flirting, etc are my sticking points. If you want to see a 6’ 2" 250lb linebacker sweat bullets, shove me into a club full of HBs and be prepared to mop the floor. Is that rational? Hell No! But that is why I am here. I will never race professionally, But I am, damn well, going to get behind the wheel. I realize that pheromones are not a fix all. They will not make me handsome. But if you want to succeed it is important to to use every advantage that is available. There is a reason that people get nice haircuts, sharp clothing, workout, etc. They all help to build a complete package. Everyone has sticking points. I have bared some of mine. They say animals can smell fear. I am betting that humans can also, even if they are not consious of the fact. Scent is highly underated. Probably because it is mostly out of our control. I commend the younger forum member who are taking advantage of these products to improve their lives. Getting past your sticking point while you are still young is smart. Because if you don’t, they will come back to haunt you later in life. Good Luck to all of us. ---

Hi Sloride, welcome to the forum. The first product you should consider is Heavy Ammo (2x strength because you’re over 40 and your natural pheromone production is low). This is the product for attraction. I also suggest you consider some [social pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/social-pheromones/), in this case, Instant Openness and Instant shine. All of these products can be used together for great effect. I’m glad that you don’t have any illusions about what pheromones are capable of, but I still suggest you read the sticky threads in the Men’s section. Good luck! ---

Thanks Robbie, I will take note of those recommendations for future purchases. I am expecting my first order today. It consists of: A314 Ammo (regular strength I think) Turn Up The Heat. I was planning to use the A314 and Ammo together for general effect and then add Turn Up The Heat to try on my wife. (try to fire up the church lady.)🙄 I gather that Instant Shine has some self effects that I would like. I am reading mixed opinons on [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/). Instant Honesty is another one that has peaked my interest. Here is a stupid question: I shower every morning. Does that have any effect on natural pheromone production? ---

Just a side note. Other areas of improvement I am working on: Workout almost every day. Have lost 55 lbs. Colored hair and goatee back to brown. Updated wardrobe. Studying materials from David Deangelo, Ross Jeffries, Neal Strauss, etc. Forcing myself into social situations Still 53 yrs old (Crap!) (grin). ---

Hi SloRide. Good regime you have there! Yes, it is always good to feel attractive to the opposite sex and may paradoxically make your marriage even better: your wife should be pleased she has a guy who is considered desirable by other women, as long as things stay on a “harmless flirtation” level. If you have that bedrock of trust, and get attention from other women, then your wife is going to be pleasantly surprised at how she has actually had herself a “catch” all this time. Yeah, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much, it’s probably a pretty level playing field for natural pheromones in Kansas unless there is some rare person out there who hardly ever washes (and then other factors will repel people from his/her signature!) With artificial pheros I think you are supercharging your phero-signature anyway, to the point where any additional natural emissions become largely nugatory. ---

Congratulations on all of the personal changes, pheromones will be another tool in your arenal, they will enhance the person you are. As for pheromone production, I’m no expert, but I’m fairly certain that when you wash does not effect output. It would be safe to assume that the more active you are (working out), the more that will effect your metabolism _and that_ very likely also effects the amount of pheromones you produce-- but only to a certain extent. Good choices on your first order. The TUTH should help your church lady in the bedroom. 🙂 ---

Hi there SloRide and Welcome to Pherotalk! No one expects a 53 yr. old male’s nuts to shrivel up or fall off. Like fine wine you men only get better with age. 😉 You said you own your own business, what do yo do? It is very admirable that you have taken steps to improve yourself, hats off to you. You are growing in a positive direction and we all are here to encourage and help you along the way. 🙂 More and more I am reading that men tend to be very shy around us women and tend not to know how to approach us. I always thought that men were natural hunters and that if a man doesn’t pursue you then he doesn’t like you enough. Hmmm, food for thought. You are married to a wonderful woman, she certainly had to be to see the beauty in the “wall flower”. How did you and your wife meet? How did you end up with her with this fear of approaching women? We women are attracted to Alpha A314 so that would be my first recommendation but you can’t be shy when you wear this. You have to take the bulls by the horn and ride it. It’s great you want to get out of your comfort zone. Introspection to the motivation of self-improvement is a wonderful thing. The first step to achieving what you want. Definitely read the “Congruency? What’s That?” sticky at the top of the Theory section. Hi All, Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. I appreciate the support. I may need to move this from intro to another thread, but for now I will push forward here. I received my order yesterday afternoon at work. Someone asked about my business. In actuallity 3 of us are partners in a large Hardware Store with about 50 employees. The 3 of us have different skill sets so that is what makes it work. Anyway, I got the package. Thank you Androtics for the sample size Instant Shine and [Instant Honesty](https://a314.com/product/instant-honesty/). Anticipating getting these I had not worn my cologne (Quorum) yesterday. Note: one small problem I have with scented stuff is that not everything is complimentary to my body chemistry. For example Georgio Armani smells wonderful on a male friend, but when I bought some, the sweetness amplified on me and I smelled like Mrs. Butterworth syrup. An Idea for Androtics: You can buy smell-alike oils that match the popular fragrances. As a custom purchase you could offer those as a mix so you would still have the same cologne scent you normally wear. Ok off track, I dosed myself in my office as follows. 2 drops of A314 (wrists and both jaw lines) 2 spritz of Ammo (back of neck and hair) 2 spritz of IS (both neck sides) I did this over a period of about 30 mins so I could observe for self-effect. The first two did nothing to me except that I like the smell of the ammo. The IShine is very interesting. I felt very alert. Kind of like going outside on a crisp morning. I could also feel it in my throat and lungs. Almost like with Vics Vapo Rub. But not strong or unpleasent. I then walked around the sales floor for a while. I spoke with customers and staff but noticed no change. However as one of the bosses everyone is respectful anyway. Left and headed for the Gym to do my workout. Did not notice anything from the people there, but it was a light night and everyone is pretty sweaty anyway. I did notice that I personally felt better and my workout was easier. I think that is still the Instant Shine effect. (That stuff is great, at least for me.) When I got done showering, I redosed with the same configuration but substituted Turn Up The Heat for the IShine and headed home. My wife was friendly as always, but seemed a little tired. Had a nice evening but no reaction and she didn’t even comment on the different scent of the ammo cologne. Like I said she was acting droopy. So Ok this is day 2 and I will probably dose similar to the first time. Hey Slo, There is a user out here named Warren who is also in his fifties (like me). I have been reading his posts and “studying” his mixes to get a feel for what I am trying to do. I am 54 and share your thoughts on not especially trying to bed down every woman I meet, but wanting to feel the delight of flirting a bit more effectively. I personally think the pheoros work more on us than on those around us, but who knows…I’m new to this as well. I am more of a house husband, so my social/community interactions are less regular. I had what I would call a fun hit at the barber’s with IS (1x to each wrist)and TUTH (1x chest and neck). For me the most interesting thing is just watching how I interact and how others respond. I am already a pretty outgoing person. My wife likes the smell of the pheros, but after 15 years of marriage the bedroom thing isn’t wild and crazy, just more fun.
