Hi, I’m new to all this and am looking to start out with getting some Ammo and [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) to start with. To my understanding, Instant Shine has 6% of “neroli” fragrance, and I’ve seen that you can customize Ammo so that it is 6% neroli fragrance as well. Will the Ammo be as effective if the scent is not as strong? Will I still get the same results? I’m wondering as I’m a bit worried about reports of people saying they’ve had comments about smelling like piss or sweat, so my intention is to get it so it smells as little as possible and then cover it up with an aftershave. From what I’ve seen it seems that neroli is the least invasive scent there is. I’m 19 and would like a more fresh and clean smell than an older mans heavy smell if you see what I mean. Is this a good idea? 😕 ---

Maybe just get a togo to start with so if it is to strong for your liking you havnt waisted too much money. Then once you know how well it works, you can make a more informed decision as to if you should change the scent and fragrence strength. Just my oppinion though 🙂 ---

Keep in mind too that [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) is a cologne based product. If you customize it you are stuck with it whether you like it or not. Custom products are non-returnable. Ammo is not to bad and has a cologne strength cover already built in. Smells a tiny bit like Creed Green Irish Tweed. Or Ivory Spring Soap 🙂 I agree with Ghost though. Get yourself a to go and don’t change anything 🙂 ---

I, too, am actually found of the neroli scent, followed closely by [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/). ---

Hmm, as an older guy, my nose tells me it’s the younger guys that tend to go heavy on the cologne. The other night my eyes were burning from the cologne cloud in the line at a local hotspot. Every other 20 year old was wearing 10 sprays of Armani Acqua Di Gio… Whatever, if you use aftershave to cover largely unscented Ammo you will need plenty and may come off as “that aftershave guy.” I’m not wild about the sour soap like scent of the new Ammo but it fades fast after drydown. As for the piss/BO scent, that is usually only evident when you sweat and your funk mixes with the artificial mones. If you know you’re heading for a sweaty dance club, apply to less sweaty areas like your head hair (but not if you have a buzz or are bald), forearms or even clothing. Whatever you do, keep if the hell away from your armpits and crotch.
