If I were his parents, I don’t think I could punish him. I mean, he was going to school of his own will, and not only that, he found a practical solution to a problem he was faced with. 😃 I’d want to encourage that sort of behavior, helping himself out, rather than waiting for someone else to take him to school. 😛 ---

I am kind of surprised that he wasn’t blamed for mowing down every mailbox between home and school, or worse. Like the hedgehog kids in “Over The Hedge”, “Bonus points” ---

What everyone is missing here is the initiative, problem-solving and strong desire for an education that this young man demonstrated. Hats off to him. ---

The article said the kid was insistent that he didn’t want to miss the school breakfast or gym… didn’t mention anything about wanting to go to class. 😉 Now THAT sounds like something i might have done as a kid. ---
