_Warning_
This is mad scientist stuff and only a theory… I can see holes in it before I start.. but…

Has anyone that employ a good number of people, working on the same floor of an open plan office ever tried the crop dusting effect… I.e. Walking around with a bottle of [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) letting off a shot into the air every ten feet or so before everyone gets to work?
I’m thinking it could work in two areas:
When people walk in each morning they are going to be happy. If this is done every day for a couple of weeks it should make people feel like they want to come to work because it feels good when they get there…

And two: As the title says, A happy worker is a productive worker…

If you had say, 50 staff and you used a whole bottle of instant Shine in the morning every day for two weeks. You’d be spending less than a dollar a day on each person to put them in a good mood and I’m sure that would pay dividends in the long run…

Thoughts anyone..?

Yes, I get the ‘if anyone found out you could get a law suit’. And then there is the air con sucking it away pretty quickly.
But does the theory sound solid? I’m sure it could be done in some places… restaurants or bars that are starting up… where if the patrons are having fun they will come back. Could be an invaluable tool…

Nope, happy workers socialize too much and slack off. Drip A314 on the boss and have him walk around and bark orders. They’ll get the fear of God and productivity shall follow.

Haha, true!

Maybe if it was a call center where their time and number of calls are logged and they are dealing with ratty customers.

So it could work for my last comment… if it invokes a social setting…? “restaurants or bars that are starting up… where if the patrons are having fun they will come back”.

I think alfa has a point there. I think if you don’t crack the whip too much and leave a bit of a noose so that your workers can breathe and joke a little they’ll be happy and still respect you for your sternness and professionalism but realize
that you can be understanding at the same time.
