Hey ladies I have looked through Jasmin’s IOI’s a bunch of times, most IOI’s are not blatant, but subtle. I was wondering if you all could tell me some good subtle or blatant IOI’s that you all would us if you were interested in a guy.

I just ask because most guys are not very perspective, and I thinking it would help guys out immensely from distinguishing from false IOI’s and real IOI’s.

Most IOI’s are not consciously done so its not like women have a set of “moves” we always make when attracted to men. Many women will deny ever showing IOI’s.

You really need to learn body language and not just what the signals mean but how they pertain to the context of the situation.

For instance I can tell you lip biting is a IOI but that doesn’t mean every single time its done its showing a interest in you. If the girl is interacting with you, making eye contact and does the lip bite or licks her lips that’s an IOI. This one can be a subconscious reaction or a deliberate attempt to attract.

Excessive touching of self. I don’t mean that in a dirty perv way. Women tend to touch themselves more like gently caressing there neck or arm while interacting or making eye contact with a guy they are interested in.

Playing with hair is something men tend to misread. Its not the actual touching of the hair that’s the IOI its how they do it. Slow gentle twirling around finger or preening is a IOI. Tugging, moving it away from face, itching etc etc is not. That indicates something else.

Exaggerated body language is a big one. You need to be observant. Watch how they interact with there environment normally. Women tend to put there “best assets” forward into your view. Men do the same thing, they peacock.

I can sit here all day and list indicators and what they possibly mean for given situations. The best thing a guy can do not just for success with reading women but success with interacting with anyone is learn to read and speak body language. Its like any other language you learn to speak. I can give you a few words and there meanings and it helps you find the bathroom or train station in a foreign country but you still cant understand whats going on around you. To really get a understanding of it and to use it effectively you need to understand the whole language, its context as well as usage and that takes study and practice.

The good thing is learning body language is a lot more fun then taking up French or Spanish 😃

Get a few books either at Amazon or the library on Body language. Check out the resources online. Then go out and observe people. Any people not just hot girls. You will get to that moment when it comes natural to you. Its like a light bulb go’s on and suddenly your speaking fluently without ever saying a word.

I just wanted to add it may sound like work but its not. I taught my sons how to read and speak BL since they were little. We made a game out of it. Waiting in line at the supermarket or bank. Sitting in restaurants. IN the food court at the mall. They are all grown up and we still play this game when were bored. We pick someone and observe and read them and compare notes.

I have been reading that thread too. I guess for me it is in the eye contact, looking up then looking away, little smiles followed by big smiles. Open body language as Tish comments on, genuine interest in the conversation as opposed to light and polite comments. We are all different so I’d hazard a guess that each woman displays slightly different cues and clues; especially with body language. The non verbal communication is key. I am particularly fussy when it comes to men as prospective mates, but I talk and enjoy flirting with most guys as long as they don’t creep me out. 😃

Urggg LOL I wrote a big long post and lost it. I just got my hard drive replaced and the Best Buy Geek wannabes really did a number on it. Its been acting up ever since.

OK lets try this again \>\>\>

Everyone into BL gets the Definitive book of Body language by Barbara and Alan Pease. it’s a good starting point.

I like “The Flirting Bible” by Fran Green . My kids like this one the most to.

“What your body says and how to master the messages” by Sharon Sayler is one of my favorites. It helps with congruence and learning to speak BL as well as read it. That can be more important then reading other people.

“The Power of Body language” by Tonya Reiman is good. More for business but it crosses over into social interaction.

If your going to purchase just one get the flirting bible then check your library or google books for the others. Sometimes google books has previews and you can get a lot of beneficial info there. I just buy them but I am a geeky book whore Lol I love to read.

I also suggest reading \>\>\>

The silent language of leaders (I forget who wrote it)

The power of eye contact by Michael Ellsberg

And if your shy “How to talk to anyone “ by Leil Lowndes This is a keeper, lots of tips and tricks you can use and learn over time.

Social Intelligence is another good one Jasmin turned me onto. Its by Daniel Goldman

Check Amazon for used copies or google books for previews so you can see if you connect with the book before you buy it.
The library depending on how good the one in your area will have some of them.

Online I like [Using Body Language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/body_language.htm) ([Using Body Language](http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/body_language.htm))

Its just a introduction for beginners and quick references to get you started.

There are no really good DVD’s to teach it I have liked on the subject. There are some videos on you tube so you can get a visual but some are hit or miss with the accuracy of there presentation.

Watch these documentaries when you have time Be forwarned your about to see nudity so if your sensitive dont click LOL

This one \>\>\> [Part 1 What Makes You Sexy - BBC Explorations - YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JSqpCjbdcM)

This one is amusing and touches on [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/)

[http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/sex-sense-love-chemicals/](http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/sex-sense-love-chemicals/) ([http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/sex-sense-love-chemicals/](http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/sex-sense-love-chemicals/))

That should keep you busy for a while and get you headed in the right direction. There will be a test when your finished \>\>\>\>\>\> Just kidding
