I would like to work possible placebos into this as well. I wonder Androtics would sell me just Game and [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) scent with not pheros in to-gos or something. I already have a couple of ideas on how to keep myself from figuring it out just by looking at the bottles, but which will allow me to figure out what I wore later. That’s not the problem. I now have an interesting plan in my mind. I’ll get around to it next week. I don’t have my empty to-gos with me.

Vespero, look in the mixing supplies, you can get 30ml bottles with neroli scented perfumers alcohol. It’s on a drop down menu, You can also get pipettes, and empty to gos.

Thanks, Renny. I have plenty of To-gos, though I might want to get completely fresh ones so there are no problems with residue. Pipettes would be useful, and I’ll definitely get some [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/). Wish I could get Game as well, as then I could have a control (placebo) with all the recent mix releases like MX292, MX272, and the Ammo test pack.

Check to see if you can custom scent it.

placebo is difficult because - as Mark said - Phero’s smell… There is a marked difference in smell between MX275 and MX276 despite both having the standard game scent…

The difference is actually significant enough that I’m pretty sure I could tell which of the two I sprayed on myself from smell alone

I thought about this, but being fairly neutral about most of the scents here, I’ve never really paid enough attention to distinguish mixes by scent. I probably wouldn’t have much trouble if I wanted to, but for the purposes of what I want to do, I’m going to keep my nose in the dark. Also, although it might have an effect on my behavior that day, I could just clap a couple of erasers together. Instant nose closure for me.

Instant nose closure = reduced self-effects -\> your missing half the point IMO

More ideas.

1- Androtics sends each bottle to be tested out with a unique serial number, and the user reports the results of that serial number. Only the folks at Androtics know what it is and compile the results for a given compound. The folks on the forum get to see the reports and have fun testing god-knows-what. Might make for an exciting day. On the other hand, you may be testing the “[Raw Power](https://a314.com/product/raw-power/)” test pack at the senior center, and have unwanted or inappropriate effects.

2- The “placebo” effect is complicated by the fact that we’re observing behaviors that occurr anyway. Thus you may be using a blank and in fact observe and report on some unusual behavior that occurred by chance in your presence.

> I’ve actually considered forcing myself blind. I have a great number of empty to-go bottles that I have taken the labels off of and cleaned. I have considered, but haven’t gotten around to, putting non-obvious marks on some, then filling some with alchol and some with actual pheros and grabbing at random in the morning. I haven’t refined the idea very much, and I need to get rid of any way that I would be able to tell the difference. I expect this to be quite difficult, as though I am trying to do a blind test, my brain will be constantly searching for clues as to what I’m wearing. Any suggestions?

plastic atomizers can never be fully cleaned especially the sprayers so if you are going to mix something else in there it will be tainted

your best bet is to buy new TO GO from the store here

> User reports are extremely subjective and only valid for the user doing the reporting. 90% of the time when I use the same product I have either no results, mild results or totally different results. At this point in life I’m extremely surprised if a new product gives me any results vaguely similar to user reports. I think most forum readers are smart enough to realize the subjectiveness of anecdotal reporting and take them with a huge grain of salt. The only thing that matter is how it works for you.

I’m not sure whether tha reaction is due to honestly caring what other people think or if peoples brains just start to play tricks on them

This is a most interesting and complex issue that we are dealing with here, I really think i shall have to sleep on it and return when more fully charged so as to try and formulate a response to you that may be worthy of your intelligent attitude.

Replication value.

you may have studied it in Dawkins, or Mystery Method.

Someone posts an experience, then people buy the pheromone to partake in that same experience.

You also see this in what Dawkins called memes…

remember Budweiser Whaaaaasssaaaaap?

That’s definitely a good point made and I remember reading somewhere early on that you shouldn’t read up on MX/P before testing so that results are accurate. Luckily due to that I have managed to completely avoid reading about all MX/P effects to date other than MX292 as it’s talked about so damn much lol! I’m looking forward to finally getting around to testing them when I do though it will be interesting as I can imagine the difficulties of coming across highly sexual mixes at work and completely overpowering mixes socially.
