Hello

It seems that body language is very important with using [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/). Anybody out there who could enlighten me on point or two of using body language with a314.

Well this is the common traits on an alpha male:

- Directs and controls the conversation.
- Freely asks questions and expects a response back but gives little or no self-disclosure.
- Stands with hands on hips, elbows out to sides. Takes up more personal space that way and wants to look bigger.
- Stands or sits taller than others on purpose.
- Freely interrupts others speaking. (Others don’t interrupt.)
- Long pause when answering a door knock, or replying to someone. Makes others wait.
- Freely touches others. (Others don’t touch back.)
- Will stare at others and demand attention. (Others don’t do the same back.)
- Never breaks eye contact first. Others usually break eye contact first by looking down, signifying submission.
- Occupies a bigger personal space and crowds others on purpose.
- Takes the lead purposefully when walking and going through doors.
- While sitting, will put hands behind head, put feet on desk, remove eye glasses and put ear-piece in mouth, or turn chair away from others and stare out window.
- If not well socialized, will eat and talk at same time while others can’t eat.

I found this info at [Alpha Male Body Language and its use in dominance. Body language says more than words. Learn to read male and female body language here.](http://www.learnbodylanguage.org/body_language_dominance.html)

Although im not saying a314 makes you an alpha male, these traits would usually be of someone with more respect than others.

Hope this helps!

All good points, as far as A314 usage goes, and perhaps life in general.

One thing I’d note however, is a lot of guys are too hung up on ‘respect’ and ‘status’. That in and of itself, is not an ‘alpha’ mindset. By being hung up on it, you give ‘respect’ and ‘status’ more value than yourself.

But some dudes don’t get it and try and dominate others into submission. While dominance in the loose sense is necessary, you’re aiming to ‘lead’ the people willingly into your dominance. They should _want_ to be dominated by you, to be under your wing.

Alpha’s great and all, but if you want A314 to work out how you’re probably hoping it will, make sure to be a humble alpha, if that makes sense.

Sounds like my ex GF!

I know many high placed administrators, military officiers, local politictions and business men and they are alpha males by any standard: high ranking and powerful leaders. While some may exhibit a few of above mentioned traits, most are normally quiet, friendly and unassuming, easily melting into the crowd. In other words, they are so confident of their social status no airs are required. However, when it is time to take command they are ruthless and spare no blood or tears. Obviously they have extensively cultured their command structure and social contacts to get where they are, so they are supremely confident and delgate most of their power to underlings.

The above description from “Alpha Male Body Language” reads to like a armchair self-help guide for confidence lacking wannabes and wimps trying to look important but are not.

The only thing that will make you an alpha male is solid leadership skills. A leader attracts people that wish to follow him. They don’t have to to scared into compliance. When you are a leader, you are the alpha male. These skills are both learned and earned. Acting like a dumbass without the substance and accomplishment to back it up simply qualifies as antisocial behavior and brands you as insecure to all but the most clueless.

That “freely interrupts others” bit is just rudeness IMHO. Can indicate higher status if done infrequently and with good reason. Done a lot, it’s very offensive.

I think this body language comes naturally when you wear A314. The problem comes when you set yourself up as the alpha male in a venue where you have no expertise. You wind up looking like an a\*\*hole.

Or if you are uncomfortable with the attitude shift the phero suggests that will create awkwardness.

Thats all good, and I agree for the most, and I think that real leader is alpha- beta type and not just alpha.

Alpha would be more like Stanley Kowalski from Street Car Named Desire

By biological definition an alpha male only exists within a social structure and is simply the leader. If he ain’t a leader, he ain’t an alpha male no matter how manly he acts. Being alpha is usually a hard fought role. The beta male, although subservient to the alpha male, acts as second-in-command and is often the future alpha once the regnant alpha male is dethroned.

True, I have seen this many times. Whether it is within a group of friends or a sports team, there is always a leader and a second in command. More often than not, I have seen that very same second in command be the ‘alpha’ of the group a couple years later when the older kids graduate and leave.

What is also kind of interesting is that if that social group is without an alpha suddenly and one of the betas is expected to step in to fill that role, sometimes the beta is unprepared, or unable to play the role of alpha. The result is that the group usually falls apart or will require some yard work by a true ‘alpha’ to clear up the mess left behind. Perhaps this is because the beta who was supposed to learn from the alpha never had a chance to learn or practice his skills, leading him to be unable to become the alpha.

True Alpha (or, perhaps, dominant) males are self confident because they _know for a fact_ that they are in command. They know this because they have experienced it, and it has become their inner and outer reality. The inner reality of this is ultimately what generates the outer reality. Genuine “Alphas” are never pompous, arrogant, rude, etc. They have no need to be. They have a solid base of self respect, self esteem, self image, self reliance, and self control. They also strongly tend to be emotionally and mentally mature. There is simply no need to raise one’s voice unless one doesn’t truly have confidence in one’s control of the situation, for instance.

These other traits are for the wanna-be’s, and are usually based on a lack of genuinely being the things internally that a genuine Alpha or dominant male is. This lack results in insecurity, which is often the root of these wanna-be behaviors. It’s basically talking the talk without walking the walk, except expressed with actions and body language.

A314 in the right dose tends, in my experience, to enhance and magnify latent Alpha or dominant traits and will act as “secondary proof” of overt Alpha or dominant traits. I have seen it almost magically produce the sort of self confidence and self esteem that makes one in turn act with more Alpha or dominant body language quite naturally and automatically.
