Well, I’ve had my A314 for about a week now and not wanting waste any of it I’ve been tightening the cap(black exterior screw on cap). Well this morning I tightened the cap and it broke. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it or how would you fix it? My bottle is only a week old and I’d hate to waste any more than I’ve already wasted. ---

The A314 bottle is not that uncommon a design. If you nip past a dispensing pharmacy, they ought to be able to sort you out with something that fits. 🙂 ---

Ray, I’ve had the same thing happen to one of my bottles in the past. I mentioned in a past thread on this forum and John was nice enough to offer to send out a new one to me. If you can’t a proper cap at the local drug store, i would say to let AD know. They are always helpful. It probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to add an order of something reasonable like [a314 spray](https://a314.com/product/a314-classic-spray/) or whatever to help subsidize some of that shipping cost. I would seal with electrical tape and store in a closed container in the mean while. ---

The cap shouldn’t be tightened more than what’s called “two-finger tight”. In other words you should be able to open/close it with two fingers without straining. We can’t be responsible if you break your bottle through misuse but obviously don’t mind sending you a new cap if you ask nicely 😉 ---

AD at it best I like the way you do your bizo 🙂 “obviously don’t mind sending you a new cap if you ask nicely” you are great AD so called **awesome** for sure. ---

YOU’RE AWESOME! We prefer to send replacements like that (if we didn’t send it broken) with the next order if at all possible because of the shipping. Especially international. ---

Mobocaster is right: the bottle cap that fits AD’s bottles is really common. I used to dabble in liqueor essences before and those small bottles had exactly the same size. Also I used extract of St John’s Wort (against depression) which also came in the same size bottles. If you lived in my city I could give you a handfull 🙂 but unfortunately you don’t. I just never throw stuff like that away… ---

I feel your pain,cap broke and lost 3/4 of my bottle, tho my workbag smells pretty good now. Open Question, if I order a new bottle is it possible to get an xtra cap? Needless to say, while I like my bag’s scent,. I would prefer to have the A314 for my own use 🙂 ---

It happened to me too and lost more than 50% of the content. ☹ so sad.
