> I aquired my Alpha A314 from L-S when they first got the “new formula” in a few months ago. Which “official” version is it? I don’t think I have ever worn A314 for a long enough time during a day for any “conversion” to occurr. Whatever “scent” it officially has seems to me to be good enough to use “as is.”

The scent package, even there, changed every 250 bottles.

It was part of a long series of split tests I tend to do. Think of it as a cool, exclusive feature. “Hey, only 1 out of 250 of these exist”

There’s a smoky one, a minty one, and a nearly indescribable but light “3 dimensional” one.

What I like about the oils vs. sprays is that it’s far easier for me to experiment with different (hard to mix) EO packages in oil than in sprays. In sprays, it’s far tougher working out the surfacant package, and you have to use far more surfactant overall. That can disrupt skin bacteria more than I wish, and also affect diffusion adversely. Most of the EOs I put in sprays are potent, but chosen, in part, because they stay in solution far more easily.

> I’ve seen women crazily huff A314 before. I don’t know if it’s because of the EOs or if they really want someone to love (A314 sort of has that “ideal man” vibe that many healthy minded women crave). Maybe both.

> I know women huff Pheros, too. That’s some good stuff.

just 2 things about that statement when compared to the woman i’m referring to here…she is all about the drama, everyone at the hospital knows her because either she or one of her kids is there for service.

and…

she had a negative comment about Pheros in the past as well. granted, i was wearing some chikara at the time but from others experience and my own, it is complimentary, so she may have been reacting to the -none in the chikara i’m not sure.

i don’t think i’ve ever used Pheros on its own around her but she sure didn’t mind the scent when it was neighbors with the A314.

How much TAF do you find optimal, Futurist (one swipe, but what concentration)? We have been having fun with the higher doses recently.. Do you mix with anything else?

Let me take a swipte at describing this scent. By the description, I think I got a “5”. It smells to me like a combination of some sort of herb… with a faint mix of gardenia… and a hint of what I think is smoky. The herb scent reminds me of marijuana, but it doesn’t “stink” like marijuana does. Overall, it’s an earthy, masculine scent in my opinion. Mine has a black top, but I don’t see anything to suggest 1, 3 or 5 anywhere on the bottle.

I applied one drop - it was a big drop - and it covered the backs of both my hands. Perhaps I would do better with drop size holding the bottle straight upside down instead of at an angle.

I have a series 5 bottle.
It’s clearly stamped with an imprint of a number 5 on the bottom of the glass bottle.
Smells like Soap or shampoo to me. No smoky marijuana smell - thank gawd.
