Michael wants me to add:

a) There’s a reason we call pheromones “human musks”. There’s a scent to almost all of them that you cannot avoid, without oxidizing them and destroying them. Technically, asking for [unscented pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/stealth-unfragranced/) is like asking for unscented cologne at the perfume counter.

There’s a valid reason some highly advanced pheromone users ask for these, but there’s a very fine differentiation between “no additional scents added” and “unscented”. New or casual users asking for “unscented” pheromones is just asking to be taken advantage of. As they say, be careful what you wish for!

b) Our consumer line products (meaning everything with a handsome bottle & label) are designed with the same _idea behind Bose1 and Apple_2. That is to offer leading edge products, unbeatable in design and function for those with active lives with class and style. To give users something incredible for a reasonable amount of money.

- This metaphor falls apart in several ways, which I will denote here:

1. The _idea_ behind Bose is great, but their insistence of miniaturization generates annoying phase shifts and otherwise suboptimal audio when compared to true audiophile systems. We seek to replicate the _ease of use_ of their products, and the promise they make, but not their design flaws.

2. Apple has some of the best products now, but they almost killed themselves with their own myopic arrogance prior to this century. We don’t seek to model this characteristic. We do seek to replicate the gorgeous user experience, and the sort of “Power without a science degree” idea that seems to be their operating paradigm.

3. Both are known for extravagant pricing. Apple is getting better now, but we’d rather keep prices as “within reach” as possible.

For diehard experimeters, I’d rather expand our ExperiMone (expert) line than to offer underengineered versions of our key products that go by the same name. Maybe we can offer underengineered versions by _different_ names, so as to not cause confusion.

I’m sorry I guess what was in quotes wasn’t emphasized enough I (think) this is a response to some of what I said.
What I meant was scentless or should I say stenchless as possible I believe we are all aware there is no such thing as “scentless”. As in only put in enough to cover the odor, and if some of them smell fine as they are no need to add anything except for the extra despersion that is always mentioned. If a light neroli or sandalwood covers it up, fine, why bother to put in an entire luxury complex that may turn people off? IF “IF” it is too strong it is like forcing someone to buy a cologne that -you- think is good, get my drift?

It sounds like you want to compete with cologne manufacturers, or migrate to all-in-one products. All I’m saying is if you could find some way to split it down the middle it’d be real nice is as personally, please don’t take offense I most likely won’t like whatever scent you put in there if it is too powerful to mask up. Manufacturers like Amouage have pure 100% love or hate reviews if you read up…I think it should be more for everyone and that you should keep the scent on the down-low as much as possible, just enough to cover up whatever those mones smell like.

Yeah.. I think it’d be a good idea to offer a regular strength cologne version and a stronger version for those who are into nuking themselves with perfume. One thing I have to comment on the [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) scent, it seems to be just about fine for now, but when I want to mix pheremones for different results, it all adds up when it is 2-3 spray of this and that.. and then pretty soon I’m just a walking cloud of smell.. so I have to limit myself to how many sprays I can use. Thank god you came out with double strength phero’s.. because that just cut my spray amount in half without smelling too strong of cologne.

Yup and besides the strength(unscented,3.3%,10% etc.)
also add an addidional option box about the type of scent as well!

Please be sure to note in the store that the special edition contains
these additional products. I was very disappointed to find that the stores description of CTTM2 (and other products) doesn’t describe it’s [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) contents fully. This makes it very difficult to formulate mixes without doing hours upon hours of searches on the forum.

Sounds sweet. My bottle of A314 has lasted me for months – if you note how long the bottles can last, a high price might be easier to swallow.

I’m not a marketing expert, but I have some experience and relevant knowledge here. This all just off the top of my head…

In regards to your remarks concerning Apple and Bose, yes they have great products and great design, but I think you’re missing a big part of the equation. Their first class marketing, amazing packaging, relentless brand building campaign, and _ **word of mouth** _ is what sells those products. But you can forget about word of mouth.

Word of mouth just _ **is NOT going to happen** _ until “Human Musks” becomes an accepted, commonly used household word, and the use of (for example) Google Adwords for “pheromones” or “human musks” currently only drive sales to people who already know what those terms mean. It should also be obvious that **pheromone users prefer to keep their use of the product a secret** , so a coordinated mass marketing campaign is the only mechanism that can take your company to the next level. Given the womens rave reviews of cops, etc, womens perfumes might be easiest to sell and much easier to prove as being undeniably and obviously effective in a dramatic fashion.

I nominate Ail to be your first spokeswoman. Give her a lifetime supply of Cops and get her ass on Oprah. _I dare you._ And get Lor on MTV and VH1 while you’re at it.

(Second thought, maybe you’d better work on your order fulfillment process first.)

I’m not familiar with your line of womens products. Printed ads for a cops-based perfume in womens magazines might be a good place to start, but I think you need a more traditional, visually appealing bottle and you need to submit samples _+ testing guidelines_ to as many publications as you can.

Funny thing is is these pheremones do not necessarily give me an attitude (like a major shift in personality) or make me say things I would not normally say as much as they just shift my mood slightly. For example A314 will make me feel alittle more aloof and detached, and less effected by the environment around me.

I already have “an attitude”, so I don’t need any “help” with that…:o
But I also can’t say with 100% certainty that A314 is the culprit for me acting or seeming arrogant, or some variation of that kind of a disposition. I think we should start a seperate thread on _A314’s effect on the wearer_. (But I’m not going to do it right NOW…I’m going back to bed.)😃

Royal Oil

I have received a sample of the Royal Oil (thank you, Jasmin!!!).

Veeeery unusual, that’s for sure! 🆒 And it lasts REALLY LONG.

First: The sample is about one drop and this one drop is the most concentrated scent I have ever used. I tried to apply the smallest possible dab, like less than 1/10th of a normal dab. I then tried to spread this tiny amount as much as possible on my wrist. Even one hour later it was as strong as one spray of a very strong cologne.

At first I did not like it, because it was too stong. Two hours later I still felt it was too strong and tried to wash it off with soap. No success, but it became lighter and then it was okay.

On the first impression, it is not my kind of scent. But that does not mean much. I need to ask a few ladies. It has happened before that I did not like a scent at first and after all the girls I asked loved it I became used to it and then started to love it myself.

The problem at the moment is that many of the ladies I meet every day are too polite to give me a honest opinion (eg they work for me).

Give me a few more days to get some female opinions…

I would like to add to my last post about the Royal Oil, that none of my now most favorite scents were those which I loved at the first try.

Angel is one of those. I actually discarded my first sample years ago because I thought it was crazy. Maybe now I am crazy, because it’s one of my favorites 😛

Okay, the girl I spent the last night with (successfully supported by all of the Androtics products I posess, in a carefully balanced mix) had the tough job of a lot of fragrance comparisons during the day. I told her that I mix a lot of cologne stuff and need opinions.

I used a tiny amount of the Royal Oil sample on my wrist again, spread it out as much as possible and let it dry for one hour. Had her smell it after that: She does not like the Royal Oil at all. Her negative physical reaction was also pretty obvious. She says it reminds her of old socks. It personally don’t find it quite that bad but I still admit I don’t like it enough to buy it and it’s good that it won’t replace A314 Classic (which is great!). Because of the great customer service at Androtics I would like to be just polite but I think we all rely on honest feedback, so that’s what I am giving, for the advantage of all of us.

The (good) EO smell of A314 (current batch) which is pretty obvious for me is only very weak (and neutral) for her and after 4 hours she can not detect it any more (while I can still smell it very clearly).

Some of the other results (which should be in different threats…): She detects a bad “urine smell” in uncovered [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/) 30 minutes after application on my skin. 2 hours later she can not detect the bad smell any more (while I still do) but the pheromones still work: She smelled the spot, said she could not smell anything bad any more and immediately became much more touchy-cuddly than 10 seconds before. Very obvious reaction and no delay: Fun 😉

I can cover one spray of Instant Female Magic with one spray of Guccy Envy very well. 10 Minutes after application she feels it’s too intense, but can not detect the “urine” smell and as it dries down, so does the pheromone smell, so the cover works all the time.

The scent of Turn Up The Heat 5 mcg is a bit strong for her, but she does not detect a bad scent - good!

I have tested the Royal Oil with a good female friend who has given me useful feedback on my mixes over a couple of years.

Again, I used an extremely small amount and again I washed it off an hour later just to dilute it more. She smelled it two hours later on my wrist.

She actually liked it. Not like the best she had smelled on me, but okay. She said it smells more like it is for females.

Oh well…

Thanks for the recommendation.

I’m only familiar with a few of Oriscent’s offerings. We’ve been been told by some of our customers that own more of Oriscent’s line that some (not all) of our new international oils could be considered better. (I can look up the exact comparison, if you like)

Of course, when you get to that level of quality, it’s all very subjective again. I don’t think it’s "better vs. worse’, so much. That’s like saying that Clive Christian is better than Amouage or vice versa… or that BMW or Mercedes is better. It’s an impossible call to make objectively.

Personally, I’m actually quite pleased with the quality oils we’ve recently been able to access. Some of the “old world” oils from Asia, old Persia, and Dubai are, for lack of a better word, “heavenly”. The essential and other natural oils we purchased from here in the US were often disappointing for perfuming purposes.

We bought the light Indonesian Oudh from a famous natural perfumer here in the US, and I have no idea what she was thinking. While not terrible, it certainly doesn’t hold a candle compared to the oils we’ve sourced internationally. I won’t trust her to broker oils for us anymore.

Guys, we’ve sold out of this microbatch of A314. We had about 100 bottles.

The A314 “core” for a new batch has already been made. I’d like to finalize it today.

How did those of you who picked up this batch like it? I don’t mean the scent, per se… I mean the pheromonal effects. Ever so slight tweaks were made. It was closer to the formula used in MX172 than it was MX102.

I’m willing to make other, _very small_ additions or subtractions. The core effects must remain the same, so no dramatic recommendations, please.

i..e., I’m not going to add P76, P77 or P80 to Classic. As useful as it’d be to make the product more “all in one”, I’m not going to add a major amount of alpha androstenol, either. Not to the core “classic” formula, anyway. Again, any tweaks should only serve to support or enhance the core effects, not change their nature. No George Lucas style editing. 🙂

Given those parameters, let me know your experiences with the last batch and ideas for the next. I’ll do my best.

Michael

The scent of the new classic is not appealing to me personally, That being said it does grow on me after awhile . I think it has to much of a Ethnic Indian smell that you find in certain gas stations etc, owned by indians .
Because of this strong scent i don’t think it is appealing to many younger American women , Also it is hard to use your own colognes with oud oil scent without it clashing .
As for Neroli scent i like it , but once again i find it is hard to use my own collection of colognes properly without clashing .

P.S It would be nice if you can sell unscented versions of your pheromones , I think men in particular would rather go that route .
