# A314 oil vs spray: does the oil version smell the same as the spray "A"?

Question about A314 oil vs. spray. Does the oil version smell the same as the spray “A” version? I really like the spray and the way it smells, but it’s a little small so it goes quickly. Has anyone tried both or know how they compare?

A314 is it’s own scent. Based mostly on [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/), but with other things added. I think I remember John saying it had musk from Deer Stag added for a masculine and virile vibe…if this is true avoid wearing it on camping trips in bear country _nods_.

Oil should last you about 8 hours in hot/humid climates  
10-12 hours in cooler dryer area’s.
