Here’s my first post… My yoga teacher, who’s about 40 years old, asian (Chinese), has been complaining about my smell recently. Tonight I have narrowed the cause down to A314. FYI, I love the A314 smell. Below are all 6 of my encounters with her, chronologically, over the course of a week. The strongest evidence is Encounter #6. The ambient temperature is usually about 27~30 degrees Celsius. Besides the complaints, she usually likes me. Encounter #1: T: 3xIH (throat+elbows) T+0.1~1.5: 1 hour of sweaty yoga class, she kept complimenting my looks Encounter #2: T: 2xA314 (elbows) T+1.5~2.3: 30-year-old asian male colleague complimented my scent T+7.5: …probably some [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/)…I forgot… T+8~9: 1 hour of sweaty yoga class T+9~11: long proximity with her, she’s happy with me, no complaints Encounter #3: T+0~4: 2.5xMX301 + 1~3xIH, long proximity with her, no complaints Encounter #4: T: 2xA314 (sternum+elbows), 3xIH (throat+elbows), 5xIS (throat), 20mcg P86 (chest) T+0.2~2.2: 2 hours of sweaty yoga class T+2.2: she said my sweat stank, but later my mom didn’t think so T+3.7: showered, then put on 3xIH (throat+chest+elbows), 4xIS (chest), 20mcg P86 (chest) T+4.1~6.5: long proximity with her, no complaints Encounter #5: T-7.6: 2xIH (chest) T-6.4: 2xA314 (sternum) T: 2xIH (elbows+chest), 4xIS (chest), 40mcg P86 (chest+throat) T+0.3~0.8: sweaty aerobics T+3.2: she said I stank, I could only smell light BO T+3.2~5: she made me go take a shower, no complaints afterwards Encounter #6: T-0.7: shower, hot/humid/a bit sweaty T: 1xA314 (elbows), 2~3xIH (chest) T+0.2: she said I stank, told me to go change, I changed my shirt while trying to rub the pheromones off T+0.5: she still thought I stank, she suspected I eat too much meat, told me to go shower, I washed my elbows and chest with soap several times T+0.8: no more complaints - “T:” means at some point in time. “T+1.2:” means at 1.2 hours after T. “T+1~2:” means during T+1 to T+2. - 3xIH means equivalent to 3 sprays of IH normal concentration. - 2xA314 means 2 drops of A314. - By “elbows” I mean the insides of elbows. - By “sternum” I mean the on my chest, at the lower end of my sternum, which is a concave surface, where I often dab A314 on in order to prevent my shirt from catching it. I try not to spread the A314 thin, in order to prolong the duration, because I think the evaporation rate is linear to the area. - None of them were applied onto clothes. Is this too much information? ---

I am not a big fan of akuto. At first, i thought it stank like crazy. However, after nine months, somehow, my A314 smell got lighter, lol… It doesn’t smell as bad as before. Back then, it smelled like some oriental massage oil that they would use at “massage” parlors, lol. Also, I now use A1 and some other stuff with it. ---

My bottle of A314 was ordered this July. It smells very different from my [MX297](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/mx297/). ---

It is [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) but it’s very lightly scented, less than 1%. .3% I believe. It could just be the natural scent of the mones. Some people are just so sensitive to it. ---

Today I wore only 2xIH (half spray of 4xIH) on my chest, with loose t-shirt. I was also a bit sweaty. I asked her whether I still stink today, and she said yes. She said she could smell it as soon as I opened the door and came into her house. She didn’t make me go take a shower though. She’s a very conservative and friendly girl. She uses perfume sometimes. People very rarely, if ever, tell me I smell bad before. I don’t understand what’s wrong. IH/neroli smells very very good to me. ---

Fresh A314 rarely bothers anyone and [Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/), as terrible as it smells isn’t very bothersome a few feet away. Nevertheless, A314, when mixed with the sweat of some individuals, can be extremely rank. Worse than unwiped ass and 3-day toejam intermingled. A chemical reaction ensues when certain types of sweat mix with it and the resulting smell is often bad. I can’t wear A314 behind my ears during a hot day as ear sweat (!) and A314 smell horrid. I’m Asian and mainly live and work among Asians. And they are sensitive to the body scents of White and Black folk. It is different and often stronger than what we’re used and can be highly distracting. I hear lots of remarks about strong BO off of White tourists, and the tourists haven’t a clue they need a shower. ---

Asian women tend to not like the smell of certain pheromones, mostly the masculine ones. As Gegogi mentioned sweat mingled with them produces even more stink so she is noticing it more. Try using an anti bacterial soap when you shower to cut back on the Corynebacterium we all carry on the body. Sweat on its own doesn’t smell bad its only once the bacteria mingles with it that it starts to stink. You have to also consider that if she was familiar with you before she may just be sensing a change and she is associating that feeling with scent. Your yoga teacher is going to be very in tune with her senses to begin with, add to that the fact she is Asian and already sensitive to smells… I am not at all surprised she picks up on it. Its not just Asian women either. Did you know that in the Vietnam war that the soldiers tried to stay down wind and changed there diets because the Vietnamese could smell them coming before they saw them. I think you will be fine in other less sweat inducing environments when your wearing the products. Working out while wearing them always seems to produce stink. Tisha ---

In normal situations my under arm pirspiration is for the most part odourless and it takes a lot of heat and humidity before i break out in a sweat, however whenever i have a frantic and almost uncontrolable desire for sexual contact with a female i do start and sweat very profusely under the arms with the pirspiration producing a most acrid strong odour that is certainly not evident under normal conditions or when i do not feel this excessive sexual tension. I would suggest possably that the application of [synthetic pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) used during times of excessive sexual tension may well compromise their usage and fragrance factor to some degree 😉
