I used to be able to get just one perfect drop formed on the top of my finger and it would stay there. Now it splashes everywhere and quickly runs off my finger. The amount that comes out is close to 3 drops. Is it supposed to be like this now? Or could I have gotten a bad batch or bottle or something… Rev 23 Batch 1 09/21/09 Batched By 2/6 Can I do something about this and make it thicker in consistency and/or easier to pour from the bottle? I don’t no if this would be advisable… but if you put it in the fridge and cool it down, it should make it thicker. OR handle it with cold hands… if your bottle is half or less full, the heat from your hands/fingers will heat the air that is in the bottle making it expand quickly and push more out. If you can slow the heating of the air in the bottle down it will come out slower also… ---

Hey butcher, did you buy that a314 from LS? because the a314 from LS is thinner then the one from AD ---

It’s a brand new bottle, got it with latest order less than 3 weeks ago. I don’t have a fridge at work that I can place such valuable items in 🙄 But it’s not like I keep it in a very hot environment, just normal room temperature. I have submitted a support ticket about this, because I’m pretty sure that something is wrong with it. So I’ll wait and see what Amy will say about it. ---

Does anyone who had recently ordered have had this issue??? I’m planning on ordering and I dont want a defective bottle or dropper… 😕 ---

What I’ve learned to do is try to put your finger about 3mm away from the dropper and touch the drop before it leaves the dropper. ---

Just tried this with mine. I usually hold it at a 45 degree angle and wait for the drop to come out - which works well. I also got two pretty fast drops after the initial slowness. Try hold it 45 degrees and be a bit patient 😛 OR, you could just touch the drop before it drips out. ---

Looks like a problem with the dropper personally. Droppers should be able to handle any consistency (Although, im sure you need a perticular sized dropper for a perticular consistency, so this A314 may be runnier than usual). You could try transfering it to an old essential oil bottle as they often have droppers on it, especially ones sold for use on skin Just clean it out first and test it! You could also buy a bottle with a dropper, maybe a bit of a pain in the arse but better than wasting A314 at x3 the rate. Personally I would buy an essential oil as they could be cheaper and you can use the contents first, just make sure it comes with a dropper, not all do. xantium gum, which is a thickening agent used in skin care products which can be bought in the cooking section of your local supermarket could also be used but I would stress _at your own risk_. It’s a powder so might not mix well, just like the clumped mess when you make hot chocolate, and you would only need a small sprinkle i would guess… I would rather buy a empty bottle 😉 In the video It looks like it is running out to the side… Try cleaning the top of the dropper and holding the dropper perfectly vertical, if you have it angled it’s given a better chance to pour out. 🙂 ---

Any resolution with this, Butcher? If you still have your old A314 bottle, try pouring it into the old bottle. That will help determine whether it is the dropper bottle or the viscosity of the new liquid itself. In fact, you probably don’t have to pour it into the old bottle, just swap the plastic dropper tops.
