I’ve definetly noticed that A314 can make people nervous around you - especially people who are slightly socially concious/socially nervous
Instant Shine is great with A314 to help buffer that but the biggest thing to kill the barrier is a friendly inviting demeanour - The respect you get is so much more powerful than the barriers it puts up and as long as your are congruent with that powerful feeling + keep an open inviting demeanour A314 is great as a social product
People intrinsically want to be around people they respect, want to be around high status people - They also don’t like being rejected. All you need to do to pull A314 off socially is being friendly and inviting (too inviting looks desperate which is a mixed signal with the A314 vibe = bad congruency)
Now im really second guessing my A314 order. I think maybe instant gentleman would be better for my personality type. I like the respect aspect but i think the less approachable aspect bothers me a bit. Im 40 and pretty much in a relationship I have a pretty laid back persona. I was looking for something to help in business. I travel alot and get to many different places and deal with alot of different people. I already have instant female action, honesty and ammo and i ordered shine and a314.
thanks for the info, this post is really helpful, it’s often hard to find some straight forward information in the forums. Can I ask you to expand a little more, could you talk about dosage or possible mixes, I’m trying to get a good handle on IG and I need some more direction.
Chasm, I see you’ve been here awhile and have asked several good questions that haven’t really been thoroughly answered. Sorry, sometimes questions (even good ones) about well discussed products get lost in the posts about the latest “hits”.
I hope you’ll take a minute and tell us how you have been using IG. It’s one of my favorite products. I’ve bought and used more IG than I have Ishine. For me it’s a smooth boost to my personality and the attention it gets me is a boost to my ego and confidence. I think women find it very comforting. Guys are comfortable around it but seem to show a little more respect. I get called “Sir” more often when I wear it. I love to apply a spray to each side of my neck and add a couple of sprays of Ishine to the back of my head. That combo is what I’m wearing right now. IO works with it well as does IH. Beyond that I would just say experiment.
If you have a specific question about it or a specific instance where you wore it and got a different response from what you expected please give us some details. Hint, “I wore two sprays to the mall and didn’t see anything” won’t get you much info. LOL. It will, however be a start, and we can work from there. Happy New Year!
i wore two sprays of instant gentleman with two sprays of instant honesty to the mall one time and i got plenty of looks from women of all ages. i even had this one teenage girl with her mom walk really close behind me like they were following me.
ive tried alpha a314 one time at work, i applied two drops rubbed into my neck. i had a lot of different reactions from customers, some good and some bad. the respect was there, but the barriers were pretty obvious.
I will often combine it with Instant Honesty 4X - 1 spray to the back of the head or Ishine 2X 1-2 sprays to back of the neck.
I will on occassion wear it with 2 drops if A314 to soften the A314 a little but using Instant Gentleman that way gives it a very different feel. Very different.
Now as for the A314 - yes, you can get a lot of different reactions with the A314 depending on what you do. But what I call “respect distance” or you seem to call “barriers” do happen pretty often. To offset that I prefer to use Instant Honesty. I pretty much use the 4X version now. You still get the respect but people can feel more connected to you and that helps keep serious verbal comunication channels a little more open.
I cant begin to tell you how much great info I got from reading this thread. I think it deserves a bump. I wish there were more comparison threads like this. It makes using the search function so much easier.
Eventhough I dont think IG is what I am looking for in my upcoming situation, I feel the need to give the product a fair shake. Along with IJ, it is the only product from the Instant line I have not tried. Therefore, I will add IG to my next order for at work testing. BH/Renny, I will rep you when it lets me again.
I agree this is an excellent thread…I have often used A314, P74 and IH together…although I haven’t ever used instant gentleman, I’m guessing the A314 P74 combo must come pretty close. Any other people experienced something similar?
Well, that would tame the A314 a bit, but it probably still doesn’t quite approximate Instant Gentleman, because A314 contains Androstenone, while Instant Gentleman does not.
Amazing thing happened related to the different perceptions of IG and A314.
I’ve been wearing IG or one or another MX at work just about all spring. Haven’t worn A314 at all. The other day I grabbed an IJ togo by mistake and put a spray on my adams apple before I realized it. In a hurry so I just applied 3 drops of A314 to my wrists and jawline as a buffer and went with the flow.
Came to work and more or less forgot what I had on. A couple of hours later a male customer, late fifties, comes in. He is a semi regular but we don’t really know each other. He got what he wanted and brought it to the counter to check out. As he was handing me his money he did a sort of double take and says “Well hey there! I about didn’t recognize you! Your brother, I guess it is, has been here the last few times I was in. Is he a lot younger than you?”
I’m completely confused. “Yes, my brother is younger than me but he doesn’t work here.”
“Well, he did a nice job running the place for you while you were away, tell him I said Hello.”
I was totally confused by this until later when I thought about the fact that I’ve probably been wearing IG, one of the AMMO test pack MXs or no pheros at all everytime I’ve seen this guy until this. I suppose the guy could have just had a brain fart but in thinking about it I’ve decided the pheromones had to have played some role in him thinking I was an entirely different person from the one he was used to.

I made my first AD purchase about 8-9 months ago, around my join date and one of the choices I grappled with was whether or not to order IG. I decided against it in favor of Ammo, but after reading this thread I’m glad that my second order (placed this past Friday) included IG this time around, among other things.
One question that I had regarding IG though. I’m guessing here, but would effects from Ammo + IG in a 1:1 ratio be similar to 1:1 Ammo + A314? Obviously it wouldn’t be as domineering (perhaps a poor choice of words), but regardless the trust aspect would be there? I’m young (22) and looking for a simple work-social base mix. In case you’re wondering, I ordered p74 (7.5mcg), p83 (7.5mcg) and TAA (5mcg) in 30 ml as well.
Also, for new users that are reading this thread, A314 has gone through a number of revisions since it’s inception, among which are corrections to reduce that “barrier” effect that many users in this thread reported. I’m no expert having never used it (college student in temporary employment, not much use), but I’m guessing that using the current version would not produce the effects described in the early pages of this thread.
