I dont know if therapygirl has been on the past few days. I think not. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. As you may know, she is in graduate school to become a therapist and work with teenage girls.. she goes to a weekend university. She went to an upscale mall after class to get something to eat sat pm around 8:00 and was assaulted by 2 men. They grabbed her from behind, dragged her behind a van, beat her, ripped off her shirt, couldnt get her pants off because she had on a belt. Apparently a cars headlights flashed on them and they guys ran. But she has been so emotionally traumatized. She has bruises all over her upper body as well as strangle marks on her throat, a black eye… She is my very best friend of 13 years and doesnt even want me to come see her. She emailed my pics. it is worse than you can imagine. She s really petite, like 5’1", and didnt stand a chance. Luckily she was able to fight them off as much as she did. So again, keep her in your thoughts as she is such a sweetheart.Thanks.. ---

i am so mad right now. thank god she was able to get away. please let her know she is in our thoughts. the bruises will heal, but the damage to her psyche will remain for a long time. i know she did not want visitors, but please go see her. even if it is only to talk to her through the door. ---

We have been friends for a very long time. I will go see her tomorrow, but was giving her some time. She just went thru a divorce so that isnt helping. although she was so pissed at her ex, I think she probably took all her pent up anger out on the assholes. And yes, thank God for the belt. I had never considered that as a protective accessory.. ---

I spoke with therapy girl last night and sent all your thoughts and wishes. She was very happy to get all the support.She said she is still just in shock about it all. She did have to go out yesterday to take her son somewhere so at least she was able to get out. She said make up covered most of her bruises as they were several days old… black eye was pretty bad, so dont know about covering that… ---

I am so sorry to here about therapygirl’s tragic experience. Let her know that we miss her, feel for her and that she is in our thoughts and prayers. Tell Therapygirl that I’m so sorry about what happened to her. My prayers are with her. Tell her to be brave and hang in there. Those guys are bastards and one day they’ll get what’s coming to them and then some. Bruises can heal but emotional scars run deep. Lingerie\_gal you must help her through even when she says she doesnt need help, which I’m sure your doing. Also I’d invest in some pepper spray or other self defense devices if you havent already. My sympathies too. I’ve had similar things happen, but my emotional responses are different to most peoples. I didn’t feel like talking about it, and if she really wants to not talk about it, it might be best to respect that. But you know her best. And most people do seem to benefit from talking about trauma. When she has recovered, she should find the experience of survival an empowering one, but the memory of what it feels like to be vulnerable will help her connect with people she wishes to help. If she is in a country where guns are legal, I’m told a 9mm is good to start with.
