I’m working as a waiter on weekends and am wondering what I could use to help with tips. I searched the forums, but only came up with suggestions for increasing tips for delivery services.

Many of the customers at the restaurant I work at are regulars, and I talk to them all, but they seem to have favorite servers that they request wait on them. I’m hoping to sway some of these customers to be my regulars, have them request that I be their server.

Furthermore, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what [pheromones](https://a314.com/) could help increase my tips with the non-regulars. I’m already really nice to them all, and I know I give all my customers great service, but for some reason I am always coming up short on tips. The other servers are always making more than me (compared to their total sales). Granted, usually the men pay and leave the tips, and the other servers are all female (and hot), but I don’t feel I should get left behind because of my gender.

So anyone with suggestions, or similar stories that have worked, lemme know. Thanks.

Whatever you choose, I’d say that **congruence** is going to be the key to achieving the goals you stated.

I have two possible approaches for you to consider, perhaps others will give you a greater range of options.

The first approach is [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), where you are a rockstar who likes the one-one interaction with people, so you wait tables. Or perhaps you’re a fun-loving rockstar who happened to go over the top and you’re doing your community service waiting tables, lol. However you put it into narrative, it comes down to this: you celebrate your wonderful life, and you like sharing the glow with others, namely, your customers, your colleagues, their customers. You’re fun with whoever you’re with, and you work the crowd … even people who are not at one of your tables. You love life and have enough to share with anyone and everyone.

An almost opposite tack, the second approach is A314, on its own, or buffed with some SPACELAND. In this case, you ARE the man, and you’re like James Bond in a WOW cloud waiting tables: you’re going to give the customer something to talk about and remember, just because you are so smooth, strong and silent. With A314 you know how to be a fantastic, suave server … and you know even better how to be a fantastic, appreciative customer, better than the customer does. No idle chatter, you’re the epitome of fine dining fit for royalty – because you are on a par with royalty yourself, in a sense. But you know how to pamper your customer in ways they hadn’t thought of before …

By the way, there is some experimental evidence on touching / using kino correlated to tips. You might need to practice doing this so you can do it congruently and confidently and without being offensive, but you should figure out how to touch every person at your table – whether it is a touch to the shoulder of a woman as you help her adjust her chair, or picking some lint from a man’s upper arm, making space for a coffee cup … when you touch your customers, they tip better … up to twice as much.

I’m curious to hear what you try, how it works…

I woulld go with instant shine and instant openness. that way you approach every table with a positive vibe. people leave good tips, not just because you give great service, but because they like you.

Heh, that’s the approach I would take as maitre d’ …

I once had an older (almost matronly) lady serve my table at an upper-middle-end dining room. She exuded naturally, for a woman, what A314 delivers for men, heh!

She was incredible! The view was of the Chicago River, but you would have thought the table was on the French Riviera, or perhaps an exclusive spot in Zurich.

She had nuanced moves – and an intense other-directed spirit about her – and a “hospitality grammar” in everything she said. On the other hand, she had the ability to make herself invisible while moving your elbow to swab the crumbs from the tablecloth and yet not disturb you in mid-sentence.

She monitored our behavior at nearly every moment that we could have wanted her service, but never intruded herself. She could “see” from our body language and facial expressions when we actually had a question or request or need and only then materialized. She was brilliant at anticipation and had an acute sense of timing.

She was generous, not haughty – in the way an actor can be generous, giving another actor room to play off of a line. Her “hospitality vocabulary” framed the dynamics of our experience in ways that encouraged us to fully enjoy the masterpiece of table service she was delivering. In short, her behavior helped us become better customers.

I learned more about how to deliver, and enjoy, great restaurant service from her in ninety minutes than from reading for many, many hours (421 hours, 37 minutes, 16.4 seconds if thomaslavoie is reading this note) and listening to dozens of “experts” in the field of one-to-one customer connection. And she never made me feel as if I was being given remedial lessons …

Would you say there is a “submissive” [pheromone](https://a314.com/) that corresponds to -none? Because that, too, is part of the experience: completely willing yourself into the service of another, and making their wants and needs and comfort and enjoyment more important, more of a focus, than your own.

She was able to do that so well that she knew she deserved great respect for her skill … and her bearing and demeanor I can only describe as “dignity and grace.”

I’ve been to a lot of “top end” restaurants since, and only twice has an experience come close to the standard she represents for me.

… What’s the opposite of a rant? … A rapture? Okay … end rapture, LOL. Thanks for bearing with me.

Thanks for your suggestions. I just ordered some A314, instant openness, and instant shine. Probably won’t get them by this weekend, but still going to keep my fingers crossed. I’ll try a few combinations and see what seems to work best. As soon as I get some results, I’ll post an update.

well imo, i would staaay awwaaa from a314. with my personally exp and with my short work as a waiter, i have found that having a deep connection with people gets u better tips. I would recommend shine and openness (good thing u orered those 2). this way u will lhave a fun vibe around u as well as being abble to get strong rapport with ure table. the reason i say no to a314 is that it can sometimes make u seem too refined and unaproachable, distancing u from people. spaceland too is not a good idea, not because of the affect it will have on others, but because it will be hard to concentrate on ure work with spaceland on.

One of my jobs is tip-based. I use my regular mix at work, just toned down a little (one less spray of Androstenone, Androsterone, and Androstadienone each). I still keep 5mcgs of each simply for a slight sexual edge…nothing too big…infact, these pheromones take a back seat to the [social pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/social-pheromones/) in my mix. The most crucial peromones in my mix are Spaceland and TAA. I use 3 sprays of TAA and 4 sprays of Spaceland. This gives you a perpetual smile on your face the entire time you’re working. Its also infectious, and all the people around you smile more as well. This can come in handy, because your co-workers and even managers will eventually notice they enjoy work more when you’re on shift (meaning you’ll consistantly be one of the last people to get cut from the floor). I also round out my mix with 4 sprays of Realm Men as a cover scent, which also contains 5mcgs of Estratetreanol per spray. The phermone component in Realm Men also helps to mellow out the male sexual pheromones in my mix, making them a little more ambiguous, so they don’t come off as overly aggressive. If I feel I need a boost at any point in the shift, I’ll add 1 spray of Instant Shine from a to-go bottle. Co-workers have commented that I have a really good tip average. I’m sure that there are other pheromones that will work well for tip-based workers. These are just the ones that work for me.

You have to be very carefull with it, and might want to find the right dosage for YOU with A314. It is a MASSIVELY potent stuff, and one drop can make a difference between you being James Bond and you being a cocky ahole… Start with one drop, and move up slooowly to 2 drops (like, try one dosage a week), and try one more.. If you start feeling like you’re better than everyone, you’ve gone one drop too much.

It is a great product, and you will surely have fun experimenting with it. You can buffer it with “socializers” like IOpenness and IShine for work, or [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) for dating, but I don’t really think that it makes you unapproachable, unless you OD and make yourself unapproachable 😉
