I have mentioned the work of Lauren S. Henry before, in [this post](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/specialisterne-leveraging-the-unique-skills-of-autistics-at-competitive-market-terms/50245/72) and [this post](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/specialisterne-leveraging-the-unique-skills-of-autistics-at-competitive-market-terms/50245/74). She is a Color/Design Expert who specialises in work for children with Autism and other special needs–she uses a wide variety of techniques to elicit desired psychological responses through strategic environmental design.

A.J. Paron-Wildes is another designer whose passion is designing spaces for Autistic children and others with sensory issues to ensure environments are correctly designed with their needs in mind…

> …When designing children’s environments, it is important to consider the needs of children with neurological disorders and to think through the space as an experience. What will the children possibly see, hear, smell, and feel? Are there things that could be designed differently in critical areas so as not to interfere with a child’s ability to perform?..

Paron-Wildes, whose son Devin was diagnosed with Autism at age 3, founded a non-profit organization called _BEAT (Biological Education for Autism Treatments)_. This is an on-line group of over 500 Minnesota families helps others parents understand the complex medical treatments and issues for their children. Here is a link to a picture of Paron-Wildes and her son at a fundraiser for Autism programs, _the Fraser Annual Benefit_: [April 2008 Scene | Minnesota Monthly](http://www.minnesotamonthly.com/media/Minnesota-Monthly/Events-Pics-Calendars/Scene/April-2008-Scene/)
