[My last post](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/agricultural-specialisterne-rural-employment-revolution-for-those-with-autism/50615/399) mentioned _HeartShare Human Services of New York_. This is a nonprofit human services agency dedicated to improving the lives of people in need of special services and support, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Each year, the organisation hosts a gallery art show featuring artwork created by children and adults with various developmental disabilities… > [@](#): > > …[2010’s] exhibit features more than 50 pieces which include paintings, mixed media pieces, masks, and photography by more than 35 artists. This year’s artists attend a HeartShare day program or live in a group home or apartment. Three students from HeartShare’s preschools are also featured. They were encouraged to express their unique artistic viewpoint of the world around them, as well as explore their feelings, hopes and fears. > > All of the artwork will be available for purchase. The exhibition sold 16 pieces which was a record for the gallery for number of artworks sold in a single show.
