it had to happen, so it did… a nutrition company has extracted the euphoriant from chocolate… the “real reason” we love Xocolotl…

possibly this link will work:

Interesting but I thought there were a number of other ingredients in chocolate that could be the euphoriant such as the amphetamine-like Phenylethylamine (PEA), marijuana-like Anandamide, and caffeine-like Theobromine. PEA is not available in pure powder form if you search the internet with good reports.

Isn’t Smiley perfume “happy therapy” based on a similar concept although it’s a perfume not in a capsule form like the one tacitus mentioned?
Maybe PEA and Theobromine work better nasally. I wonder how much of the euphoria of chocolate is due to what is ingested and how much due to what is inhaled. Afterall many perfumes do have a chocolate note… Are they somehow tricking the brain into believing this will provide the same feel-good effect that eating/smelling a real chocolate does, like a conditioned response…

Anandamides ? Would like to know if that’s in there. The endo-cannabanoid receptor (called that because the THC in Pot binds to it… as do byproducts of eating fatty foods…) turned out to be fairly important… there’s a powerful new diet pill based on this receptor, it does the opposite of pot and removes the desire to eat… unfortunately it is proving to have one nasty side effect, especially if the 20 mg. dose is exceeded… severe depression which will reverse in about 3 days of discontinuing the substance… I’d like to know what “aldamines” actually are…

See my post on ‘Smiley perfume’ in the Lounge section of the forum: [Smiley perfume](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/smiley-perfume/1614) ([Smiley perfume](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/smiley-perfume/1614))

As you can see, the reviews are generally all good from the internet. One of the reviews says: “…i have to say, it really does make a person feel like they are in love, you know when you first meet someone, you have that honeymoon period where you are totally in love, well that is how this perfume makes you feel…”

That is definitely an effect of PEA-maybe she got that feeling from the power of suggestion of course but the PEA in Smiley Pefume may indeed be ‘active’ nasally. I have read reviews of Chocamine powder (a purified supplemental form of Cocoa) and some users report an increase in ‘romantic’ feelings after supplementing with it. I myself noticed this effect when experimenting with large amounts of Cocoa-I am not the romantic type but definitely can be after some dark Chocolate 🙂 .
