# Alternative for IFM

This is not an alternative IFM. MX412/MX413 are an attmpt to simulate its main component. However IFM had other components hat have never been disclosed.

How were you wanting to use IFM? Because if attraction is involved, A1 may not be the best phero. On its own, it can be far too comforting/best-friendly. To be useful in attraction, A1 usually needs to be paired with none/other status/social pheros in a mix.

As the board problems seem to mean I can’t post links just now, try searching-out the “ **A1 Guide** ” and the “ **A1 Mix Repository** ” threads here to get a better idea of A1’s good and bad points and how people have used it alongside other pheros to best effect.
