Just had a quick question, because I realized that I might be doing more harm than good to myself with my current phero usage.

I’ve been reading the forums, and seeing thread after thread about how terrible pheros smell and how a cover is so important and how people have to shower before going to sleep because the smell so bad etc etc.

My list of pheros is:
A314
Instant Shine
Instant Honesty
Instant Openness
[Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/)
Ammo
Instant Gentleman

Other than A314 and Ammo, I dont really smell anything when I put any of the pheros on. A314 has a mildly unpleasant smell that quickly goes away after application, and Ammo smells fine (as I’d hope 🙂 ). But when it comes to the instant line, I dont really smell anything other than the initial alcohol application smell and maybe a slight “neroli” smell, which is distinct but not even remotely unpleasant or even strong to me.

Am I just unable to smell these scents and walking around as a big stinking pariah? Sometimes I feel like I smell when I wear the pheros, but I never actually “smell” it. If I can’t smell them, how can I judge the unpleasantness /need for a cover?

BTW I use Aqua al Gio and Very Sexy for Men as my regular colognes if it makes any difference.

Thanks 🙂

The smell of most products except ammo is much less powerful than the cologne at the same number of sprays, so you can wear more sprays without being overwhelming in cologne 🙂

Maybe you are less sensitive to the neroli smell too

I would say that 98% of people can not smell the [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) on you. I know its hard to believe but its true. Once in a while you will run across what MH calls a super smeller and they will pick up on some funk but its rare.

Remember its something that is not in our conscious mind but for the ones who wear it, we are conscious of the smell. Even with being conscious of it most people like the smell.

I have worn Dirty, Lust After Me, straight eow, and industrial strength copulins which you need mask and gloves to work with and people just don’t smell them. I do and at times I am stunned when someone says…

Hmm you smell good what are you wearing ?

Oh thanks, its called buttcheese LOL

Unless you get a lot of " Phew who stinks " I wouldn’t worry about it. Someone would say something. Moms dont count because they know your natural scent LOL

I just wore them today and got a compliment from a girl saying “Hey, that smells good!” But I am not sure about the A314 and [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/) as I don’t own those.

What she said.

10 minutes after you spray the neroli based stuff on no one can smell it. My wife has a very sensitive nose (and I sorta do) and if I go heavy with the pheromones she will comment on it until they dry down. After that - nothing is said.

Cologne is out of the question at work - a VERY male place. I usually go with A314 and IH or [Instant Gentleman](https://a314.com/product/gentleman/). Not once has anything ever been said about the scent of the products - and trust me they would if it registered. Work can be a rough place verbally - and that is just the normal friendly banter.

I do too sometimes - but is more an accute self-awareness of the phero-cloud around me then an actual awareness of any scent. And that is usually only when I have a mix on. Only if I start to break a sweat will I notice a hint of neroli or A314 once I am engaged in my day.

Two very popular scents and very good covers for the pheromones. I am a big Armani fan - the original Armani is still one of my favorites.

At a certain point you may want to consider looking into some of these small companies that produce their own scents - to get something almost like an original “signature” scent. That and the pheromones should make you stand out to many women and be unforgetable for a few.

Most pheromones have unobjectionable smells, esp. used in moderation. At most, they smell like day old shirts, sort of musky, musty, or stale, not really offensive at all. Our culture (at least in the US) is very phobic about body odors, probably too much. We’ve all been conditioned to believe body odors make us unlikeable or objectionable, when the reverse is often true. With the exceptions of odors such as androstenone or copulins, most pheromones won’t produce negative reactions in people over the scent (and copulins, and androstenone are actually created mostly by bacteria, not the body itself- copulins does contain some foul odors such as valeric/butyric acids, which is why androstenone and copulins should always be masked with cologne).

However, pheromones really do seem to benefit from additional cologne over them. It traps the molecules a bit and helps them get further out into a room at the same time, so they don’t just evaporate and go straight up.

BTW, I pitty the folks that have to work in “fragrance-free areas”. Smell nazis. True, some frags are nasty if overused, but many people are just phobic about smells now days.

I agree with Tisha on this. Over the years of testing different scented and unscented mixes, the vast majority of my applications have gone relatively undetected by most people. The only times people have detected the pheromones was when there was a scent component or cologne mixed into or covering the mix itself, and in those cases, people either thought I had too much cologne on, or associated the resulting … err … effects with the cologne 😃

I have had the unfortunate luck of running across one of these “super smellers” who is hyper sensitive to literally anything and everything 😮 Even worse is the fact that she’s a co-worker, so I can’t exactly stay away from her 😠 But, I choose to look on this as an opportunity to adapt and learn new things, and I have used this situation to delve into developing “Stealth” mixes. These mixes are literally practically unscented, but still pack sufficient punch to have a significant effect where needed 😛

I wore an EW based mix to work once 😮 Let’s just say I was glad they couldn’t localize the smell before I was able to make it to the bathroom to wash it off LOL 😃

I have found 1 drop to work well when covered with a cologne. anything more has not had desirable results.

I have the exact same problem, and to make matters worse, she’s a bit of a drama queen and an attention whore. What’s even _more_ worse is I let her in on my secret. This was before I found out about her ultra sensitive nose. We were talking about something-- can’t remember what it was exactly-- and pheromones were brought up. Since I’m not the least bit attracted to her, and since she’s usually pretty cool about stuff, I told her “Speaking of pheromones…”

Now… holy pigshit on a stick, I wish I could make her SHUT THE UCK FUP. We start each shift with a quick meeting to go over need-to-know info and prep for the day. We sort of huddle around our assignment whiteboard and listen to the manager give her little talk. Well… today… God, I wanted to smack her upside the head. We were standing there, and she blurted out for everyone to hear “GOD Jon, how much of those pheromones did you put on today!!!”

Thankfully, I was able to play it off. “Oh for the love of… no, see, that’s what she calls my new cologne. Pheromones, because I made the \<shooting her a stern, “ZIP IT!” look\> huuuge mistake of telling her about my hair cutter asking about it and being flirty with me. Anyone else think I’m wearing too much?” That was a lemons into lemonade moment, because as if on cue, all the women took a sniff. Got many compliments about it, several times through the shift from the same people, even.

Jon - I know what you mean - that is one reason I have never said anything to anyone. My wife knows I use them but her curiosity pretty much ends there.

As for anyone else around here - I don’t know - it is like either there is no interest in anything outside their little world or they are too busy trying to be the big fish in the little pond. Which is hilarious as I have swum with some pretty big sharks so I know a minnow when I see one.

I would love to recommend these products to a few people but the potential back-blast is so great.

Then again how many women tell you they are wearing their push-up bra today …

Thankfully, I made it clear to her that the stuff I wear to work is social in nature. She knows to keep it on the down-low and does _most_ of the time, but sometimes she just has to draw attention to herself.

😮 Data, that sucks. Maybe you should hire some muscle so she won’t “sing” so much 😮 You know, maybe she could wake up one morning with a horse’s head next to her 😃

I only told my mom about pheromones because she’s trustworthy (she’s no gossip), loves secrets, and would probably benefit from knowing. I don’t want my dad finding out, though… I’m not sure he’d take it the right way. He takes most stuff I do, _the wrong way._ He’ll say I’m nuts or insane… and sometimes, eventually, he thinks it’s cool (he even rides a motorcycle occasionally now, and got his training/icense, even though it was expensive. The irony, he’s more motivated by the “cool” factor, I’m more motivated by the fact it’s a cheap way to get around). It’s wierd, but I guess it’s a guy thing… and I prefer to just not but heads with him.

Hmm… I think we need some “Fight Club rules”… “The first rule of pheromones… nobody talks about pheromones”. “Pheromones? That’s just a bunch of hippy crap”. Get used to saying that 🙂
