Ok, I cannot scientifically confirm this but I am suspecting Ammo has caused my bird to ovulate.

my Double-yellow headed Amazon which I have had for 20 years, she laid an egg for the first time yesterday.

I have been wearing pheromones around her for 13 years, and nothing like this has happened, and three months after starting to use A314, Ammo and Instant Honesty; she plops out an egg.

I have noticed her reactions to different pheromones and different mixes I wear.

A314 - she behaves, but squawks when I leave the room.
IH - she cuddly but kind of quiet
[Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/) - no notifiable reaction, but she is friendly.
Instant Openness - chatters, jabbers and trs singing (she has her own language like a 2 year-old)
Ammo - cuddly, tries preening me, wants to cuddle, or have her head feathers ruffled
Turn Up The Heat - stronger than ammo but similar reactions
Instant Gentleman - no notable reactions
Copulins- stand-offish, bitchy, very nippy

She never really had this strong of reactions to Pherlure or Realm

Not really funny, birds tend to get aggressive and protective of their “home” when they start nesting. Thus they are more aggressive.

noooo, no little green birds… (I raised cockitiels as a kid, and still do not have feeling in my index fingers.)
She would no longer be a pet and become a parent bird, not what I want. Plus she would likely kill any other birds.

yes, but there is something weird about a bird picking through your chest hair.

Hello Woofie2!
That’s a really pretty bird! So… It looks liek you got a girlfriend ;-)!!! I’m just kidding. Yeah, that’s a really interesting thing. I really don’t know if Pheros are involved with it… I’ve heard that the birds ovulation is controlled by the pituitary gland, and it’s striclty connected with the dark/light cycles. Artificial lighting may get involved in this too. So, it may happen to the birds living with humans to have their hormonal systema bit messed. It’s just what I heard by a friend that is a vet. So, if you don’t agree with me, don’t throw me an egg ;-)!!!

See ya

Franz

Yes, I know about light, she has a full spectrum light that comes on for 4 hours a day, has been for about 3 years. It helps keep her a happy bird.
She gets covered up at about 9 pm and uncovered at 8-9 AM when I am having breakfast, yet she sleeps most of the day.
Amazons breeding instincts are also controlled by foods, and other environmental factors. Mainly high calorie, high fatty foods served warm, which mimic the natural food supply in the summertime, they eat during breeding season. her diet has been pretty much the same, except she always begs off some of whatever I am eating, but I make sure it is cool or room temperature. I avoid dairy and other foods that could trigger the broody moods in a bird.
(but she does get a little fish or chicken from time to time) She has tried to make off with an entire miniature hamburger once. I laid the bag down and she got off her cage ran across the floor(clipped wings) and was dragging the burger back to her cage wrapper and all.

I figured since she is “My Bird” (amazons are typically one person birds) and she only really likes being around me, she tolerates some people (or some women who she likes their voices), she also likes kids, mainly toddlers, because they have crumbs she can pick off.

Really cool bird you got there woofie 🙂
Hope that everything’s gonna be fine with that new egg!

And those reactions with specific [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) really proves pheromones works 😃

I’m so glad you posted this, I was starting to think I was crazy. I’ve got some friends who have several birds and since I’ve started playing with pheromones, _it feels like_ they go bananas when I go over there.

Hmmmm Very interesting.

I dont think its the mones, Human mones shouldnt effect a birds reproductive cycles. Light, diet and amount of rainfall can though. Could effect her mood though. I know when they lay a egg they can get bitchy for a while LOL My mother in laws bird layed a egg and she got very aggressive after that for a while.

If yours gets this way you should try IFM around her and see what happens as a experiment. Maybe she will respond to it
