From the descriptions, they sound simular.Both are colongne scent to stand alones with multi mones. Anyone ever tried both? I have used [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/), Tuth, and NPA ---

Neither really worked for me. I get better hits from Original Impi and from [Instant Gentleman](https://a314.com/product/gentleman/) combined with Turn Up The Heat. Could be the smell of them. Ammo smells like dryer sheets and the Alter Ego smells like soap. ---

I use both. They are very similar, as far as I know Ammo is the Androtics response to AE. Both work, but they have very different results, from what I have seen. First consider the delivery: Ammo is a spray, alcohol based; AE is a DPG based liquid. (I think it’s DPG based, anyway.) Ammo uses higher quality, more refined (read: more pure) [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/). The differences in the actual pheromone content are also visible. Ammo is more social and buffered. The result is that AE is more aggressive, raw, brutish and sexual. Ammo is more social, refined and sexy. ---

Alter Ego is my favorite product from LS. The problem with AE was that it was not consistent. I would get lots of hits one day and 3 days later it would get me nothing with the exact same dosage and around the same people. I never fully understood why that happened and it was one of the things that put me thinking about the strength of the placebo effect with these products. Best results came with 3-4 drops. I would get compliments “Oh you smell great” at 3-4 drops, never at 1-2 drops. I find the scent of AE pleasant, but I know some people think the opposite. Also, in my opinion, the AE scent is not very easy to cover, but it is strong enough to cover the natural “scent” of the pheromones. I would give it an 8/10. I have used Ammo one time only (I got it recently) and I find the scent of it (Game) more attractive. I could have some hits to report, but I cannot be certain if Ammo had anything to do with it. More testing is necessary. ---

Yeah I have used both… Ammo always has struck me as a watered down version of Alter Ego; Ammo just doesn’t seem to have the kick of Alter Ego has. But then again Ammo has also been a FAR more consistent performer for me. Like tobeornottobe was saying there are just some days when I’m wearing alter ego where it’s just like “uhhh is this thing on?” ---

I’ve use Alter Ego a lot, just put half the dose you put the day before or just take a day off between your application. This product buildup even if i shower twice a day. That’s the way it works for me. It’s a very good (all around) consistant product if i use it like that. ---

before i discovered smartmones, I have had constant hits with AE but since I have run out of AE I use Ammo, I still get hits but not as much as AE, but have to say the smell on AMMO is more noticeable than AE. I would def recommend AE, in fact it’s the best product from LS & will be the only item i’ll buy from LS. ---

what the hell.. i never even heard of Alter Ego .. all the threads i read, or the new threads i read..it was all about AMMO…so i did some more research and i noticed Pherazone is the #1 brand on the market…has anyone tried this? ---

The reason AE don’t get mentioned much is because it’s not sold by AD. It also depends on whatever it works for you, some peps will say AMMO is best whereas others may say AE is better or some other products. I can only suggest to a newbie to 'mones, is try to get a variety of each of the popular 'mones then experiment on others reaction when you wear them, which is how I started… ---

Ammo is better (safer) for younger guys and Alter Ego better for older guys (30+). I find Alter Ego better but I am a none junky. Ammo do nothing for me, only with IS a little bit. You can buy none, rone, anol here and mix your own ratio or Alter Ego… ---

Interesting thread. I am part of the group here that has never had a sexual hit come my way wearing Ammo while having great success from tuth, different social combos and MX mixes. Might have to revisit this type of combo with Alter Ego
