I was wondering the same thing.
I was waiting to see something about metabolism being higher later in the day or anything to say that a shower at night is better than a shower in the morning.

When you take a hot shower it opens your pores and they can stay open for up to a hour after depending on how quickly your body cools down. This allows toxins bacteria dirt gunk or what ever you apply on it to enter the skin. The scent of anything you use will linger longer as well because you sweat out what you absorbed when your pores are open. Some toxins like parabens which are found in most commercial products like soap shampoo lotion perfume are said to cause cancer and other medical conditions. Thing is your using these products when your pores are wide open in the shower so it matters little if you take that shower in the morning or in the evening. I try to buy as much paraben free stuff as I can. Its tough to avoid.
I think they are also suggesting that if you shower in the morning then go out into the environment you are exposed to more environmental pollutants then if you shower at night and your staying home. Your in more danger inside your shower then outside of it IMO.
While it makes logical sense they are going to extremes with the shower at night theory. Like I said most of the time your pores close up in under a hour. Most people dont jump out of the shower and head right out the door. If your cold when you get out of the shower they will start closing almost right away.
If you are worried about it though just hit yourself with a blast of cold water before you get out. It will close those little suckers right up. Women tend to know this because the correct way to wash your face is with hot water to open the pores and get the yuck out and then rinse with cold water to close them back up. For women…never put your makeup on your face before you close those pores not unless you wanna look old way before your time. Think about when you shave also. You use hot water to make your whiskers stand up and open the pores. Then you splash on some cooling after shave to close those pores right up. Cold water is probably more healthy and less damaging to the skin then the after shave though.
Pheromones can be smelly without cover. If your having this problem you can follow Gegogis suggestions or use a anti bacterial soap when you shower. Preferably a natural one if you can find it. I get mine online. This cuts down on the bacteria coryneform we all carry on our bodies. Some people have more then others. The coryneform breaks sweat and mones down into BO. Anti bacterial soap wont kill it all off and thats not what you want because you need a certain amount of bacteria to break down the mones. You just want to reduce it enough to manage the body odor.

Thx, while that does make sense they never said that in the article LOL So yeah it was a bit confusing. I got the whole pores thing opening up, just not why it was bad in the morning vs night, but yeah heading out into our polluted cities I can see that as being an issue.
Right now I usually do hit the cold water to soak up as much A1 I can from my Dial, so I guess its not an issue.
I will be looking through all my soaps and shampoos now for paraben ![]()
I briefly discuss the smell of Ammo in my journal (see signature):
“Note: the scent of Ammo - a bit difficult to describe, but it’s kind of like dry white wine without the alcohol smell and a little bit more kick to it. Imagine a sweet smelling perfume minus the sweet smell, LOL. Dry smelling, with just a hint of sour (not a BAD smell).”
The smell you get depends on your unique body chemistry, of course. This is how it reacts to my skin. It’s not a bad smell. It smells “dry-ish” on me.
Your results will vary.
I have used world edition 2X strength upto 3 sprays.. never got any stink and women seems to love it.
