The above article quotes that “More males than females exhibited anosmia to androstenone, or an increase in androstenone threshold with age”. The purpose of the study was to see if androstadienone worked the same way. Turns out, for males the sensitivity to androstadienone lowered with age(as age went up sensitivity went down).
Females did not show the same sensitivity change. It concludes that it’s possible that the more androstadienone we naturally produce, the less sensitive we are to it(as males).
I have read on here that it causes depression among some males.

Does this mean that we can actually become immune to that effect if we use more androstadienone regularly?

Can we trick our bodies into thinking we are producing more androstadienone and therefore desensitize ourselves to its effects?

If we do this will our bodies stop naturally producing androstadienone?

What are the chances that this could apply to other [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/)?

Your thoughts please!!!

I used to be incredibly sensitive to androstadienone. I have far fewer bad effects from the stuff now, but I’m also more careful to never apply it on its own and not use too much. As part of a complex mix (including, but not limited to mood boosting mones,) it doesn’t hit as hard.

I’m not certain if I’ve changed or if improved results are related to improved techniques related to use. Or maybe I’ve just gotten more accustomed to depression. 😉
