I’ve had a lot of the ladies ask me about testing and I realized that the Androstenol Split Test Mix Pack (MX384, MX385, MX386, MX387) could use more research from this side of the forum and is available here:

[Androstenol Split Test Mix Pack: MX384, MX385, MX386, MX387 :: Experimental Test Mixes :: Androtics Direct](https://pheromonelabs.com/)

Here’s what Jasmin posted on it originally:

> Hey guys,
>
> As we’ve talked about on the forum recently, there’s quite a few differences between different chemicals of the same “name” and structure.
>
> The reason is, different processes create different byproducts. You’re not just getting what you’re paying for, you’re getting different impurities, too. Some of those impurities themselves can be and often are “active”. Some provide desired effects, others undesired.
>
> It’s just like buying what you _think_ is pure water, but in reality you get a dose of free lead, too. (and maybe some healthy magnesium! not _all_ byproducts are “bad for you”)
>
> There’s also a difference between an academic type synthesis process and a bulk batch commercial process. One is done carefully and slowly by hand in small 1 and 2 gram parcels, with thin layer chromatagraphy performed on each intermediate. In academic synthesis, time is spent making something of high quality, with high actives, and great repeatability. Typically done directly by or at least under the supervision of a scientist with a PhD in chemistry.
>
> Bulk synthesis done with small drumfulls of chemicals, reacted quickly in even bigger drums, with no real analysis between steps. In large scale commercial synthesis, time is money, and processes must be done as quickly as possible. Steps will be skipped compared to academic. Unskilled labor will often be employed.
>
> In this split test pack, we have 4 different batches of androstenol to help illustrate what the differences in pheromone synthesis mean in the real world.
>
> **Each is dosed at 10 micrograms per spray, and completely unscented and unfragranced so you can smell the actual androstenol only.**
>
> Two are made by what is considered the world’s best chemists for this type of synthesis. They are “[chemical standards](http://www.chemicool.com/definition/standards.html)”. While made at different times, these _shouldn’t_ differ much at all.
>
> One is another chemical standard from a lab we haven’t dealt much with, but which is also highly regarded. While these technically shouldn’t differ much from the above, they use a different _process_ to create it. That process may generate different byproducts that you can detect. (I guess you’ll just have to see!)
>
> The last is a good quality commercial synthesis done in bulk batches in Europe at a lab we consider to be higher quality than most from China. This was obtained just for this split test.
>
> Honestly, it’s one of the best _smelling_ androstenols we’ve had around in awhile. Very pleasant, but it indicates an imbalance of isomers. With our years of experience, we can also tell it’s much dirtier than the COA (certificate of analysis) they provide suggests. We feel this is a fine _perfume grade_ androstenol.
>
> Good for a commercial perfume, perhaps, but inappropriate for research due to the “pot luck” nature of commercial synthesis, and the large amount of untracked impurities such processes generate. The luck of the draw sometimes means they’re great, other times not so great. Either way, they’re inappropriate for research. If you were to get water for research, you’d use the cleanest distilled water you could get. Something as “Pure H2O” as possible. For _health_ purposes, you might pick an unfiltered spring water chock full of an array of mostly health minerals.
>
> Now you can finally experience firsthand what we’ve been talking about, and why we’ve been so anal retentive about chemical quality over the years. These are all really great syntheses, and you will notice some differences.
>
> Have fun, young scientists!

>
> If you’re on this forum and _report a lot_ but still see the $115.95 price, don’t pay it. We really don’t want non-reporters buying it, _anyway_. This is just a signal that you call in or write a ticket to be verified for the reporter level.
