I am going to do a retrospective on my consumer products. I’ve been using too many MX’s so I need to go back and revisit the old simple things and see if I can learn something new. Randomly grabbed for the first big blue bottle in my stash. Instant Gentlemen.

Has anyone ever experienced a -rone OD? Is that a legitimate thing?

Man, I am totally striking out lately. I hadn’t used very much of this bottle, so I decided to go back try a test of it and see what happens.

3 sprays to chest. Was feeling alright before mix. Quickly accelerate into being sort of depressed. Felt like I wanted to cower and hide from the world. Got so bad I think I had a minor anxiety attack… I wasn’t even testing out and about, just in my room trying to re-orient my phero understanding with something that should have created a predictable self effect.

I did not experience an increasing in confidence at all, in fact quite the opposite.

I am really having a load of bad luck with these things lately. Got so bad I had to jump in the shower and I kinda just stayed in there sulking for an hour. Granted I was still sort of in a bad mood from last night’s testing, but to start with I was mostly fine and complacent.

Oddly though I have not seen this from A314. That mix works it’s wonders almost every time.

hey Marty,

I’ve experienced an IG OD, but my experience was different.

Here’s a link to the post in my journal

> [@Chasm's Journal](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/chasms-journal/24698/10):

> Quick report: Was out drinking a couple of nights ago. Wore some IG, 3 sprays of MX 292, and 1 IS 2x. Was having some fun, didn’t see too many hits. Did have an older woman, 60’s, do a double take when I stood next to her at the bar. She kept looking at me so I started a short conversation. Seemed more like a status hit b/c of the looks she gave me. Had a short conversation with a couple at the bar but mostly small talk b/c they were on a date. They did make it a point to say goodbye and…

Marty, in reading your posts on MX292, MX272, and now this with IG, I’m wondering how you do with IH or beta-androstenol. I kind of figure it’s the minor component in IG…I could be way off…but I have thought before that it was in MX272 along with a -rone component. I would guess it’s part of A314 as well but in a much smaller amount. Have you ever had problems with IH? Do you favor IO over IH as a general rule? I would guess that since both products have A and B those aren’t as much of a problem but the IH would have a larger B component. Do you prefer one over the other with A314?

It’s like you read my mind Renny.
I’m well showered and relaxed again, [Instant Honesty](https://a314.com/product/instant-honesty/) was my next victim. I am definitely a much bigger fan of IO and alpha-nol in general, but I don’t recall any adverse reactions to Beta-nol. Not really worth making a new topic over but nothing drastic to report so far and I’m up to 5 sprays.

Smell is pleasant, unobtrusive, standard neroli.

Sneezing like crazy though.

Hey, you’re a lot better at guessing these things than I am. I’m interested in how this goes. It could be the difference of using it with androsterone. I found a long time ago that I’ll normally go for IO with an androsterone product, but feel like using IH with a -none product. Using IH with androsterone doesn’t bother me and I’ll pair them for a purpose but if I’m just going out with either A314 or IG on for no particular reason I’ll just choose IO. I was using IH almost to the exclusion of IO for a long time, but after going back through a period of just using the consumer prods, after a period of going pheroless, I found that I liked IH a lot less.

Actually, I had decided to try [Instant Honesty](https://a314.com/product/instant-honesty/) on it’s own first. Didn’t want to get that depressed feeling from IG again so soon. It was so weird, I don’t recall it doing that before, but I’m going to go ahead and consider any research I’ve done before January to be invalid. People change so much, and I think I’ve got a much better insight into what’s going on that I’m going to start with a fresh mind.

I’m picking the products I used the least and seeing what insight they give me.
I do plan to revisit IG again tomorrow, if I start to freak out again, I’m going to see if IH takes off the edge.

Perhaps I’ll rename this thread and make it a “fresh” analysis of all the consumer products.
So far, Instant Honesty has really calmed me down. 5 sprays seems to really chilled me out. A bit musty smelling if I sniff at it, but I think that’s just the neroli.

edit: It seems I can’t edit the topic, so I’m going to make a post for each consumer, and then make a journal or something to link them all together. Instant Honesty insights will be offed to a separate topic.

Pretty much that was the original inspiration, I’m going through all my consumer products and all my single molecules. I feel it’s also important to go back and try and catch some of the subtleties I missed the first time around. Lately you see so many reports containing completely random guesses as to what’s in a mix, that I feel this will be a good way to re-acquaint myself with some of the basics so that I can make a better judgment call.

So I’m going to try to quickly go through the rest of the consumers in the next day or two.
IG, IH, Ishine, IO, [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) (old scent), A314

Single molecules I still have for possible consideration will come next and are:
P83, P93, P74, P86, P87\*, P80\*, P103\*, MEO-EST\*
with the starred molecules being recent purchases that I haven’t really used enough to have an impression for yet.

have you considered that it is not the [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) at all,
but that you need a couple days to replenish transmitters?

not for nothing,
but i began doing the same thing a few years back, trying to figure out which mone was annoying me, and come to find out they _all_ were,LOL,
i just needed a break 🙄

i was having anxiety attacks more often, then feeling depressed.

i was basically over-tired and wayyyy over-using this stuff.
i was OD’ing on putatives to test for threshold and didnt realize i was just exausting myself.

took a week long break, i was good again.

just a thought because when i read _'rone,_
i thought wow
i used to huff that stuff i loved it so much.
never gave me anxiety,
but we are all different.

Lor has a excellent point. You have been using mones for a while and your problems with them are recent. Back off using the for a few weeks.

Take a good vitamin and eat healthy, Get some fresh air and exercise and then revisit them.

While anxiety can happen its not from mone use. It comes from another source compiled with mone use. The mones use brings it to the surface. In other words you were prone to them to begin with. Placebo can also do this. Right now because of some recent forum events we have many panicked members. They see Panic attack or depression and it sends them into a panic of there own. Its usualy a number of things that gets you to that point.

Keep in mind while we all feel anxious once in a while there is a difference between feeling this way and having a anxiety attack.

Tisha

Thank you Lor and Tisha for your insights. I have considered that perspective, and I have been cutting back on my phero use lately for those exact reasons. I generally only use a big mix once or twice a week on the weekend, and small mixes one or two other days out of the week. I make absolute sure that I take at least two days off, and most weeks I’ve been taking off three or four. I have been taking a centrum multivitamin, even though I’m not a fan. And I have been trying to be more careful about limiting my exposure time and washing off the molecules and keeping my room clean so that I can keep a fresh mind and avoid being constantly subjected to a backwash of pheros.

Starting either today or tomorrow I will be taking a week long break (possibly two) and I will try to up my vitamin intake. Do you recommend any particular kind or brand? the Centrum I have been taking upsets my stomach.

In the big, long term picture, I am still of the opinion that I am reacting negatively to _something_, or at least I have a low acceptable threshold for some particular molecule. It’s a theory I’ve held for a long time, but I’ve only had bits and pieces of supporting data. My recent testing has greatly surprised me and given me some substantial new insight into my idea.

My intention right now is to _intentionally_ bombard myself with some of these old mixes while I’m in a weakened “transmitor depleted” condition. “spray spray spray. HMMM. OK. Jump in the shower, wash them all off, let’s try the next bottle.” Record these results and see which ones cause what kind of reactions.

After the two week “clean” period, I will repeat the test and see if any of my findings still hold.

just so that i can say i said it,
in a _depleted_ condition, _nothing_ will feel good.
shoot, not even _shine is shiny :o_

i doubt anything will even feel accurate to its very own nature, because you may not be in an optimal recieving condition.

kind of like when your pissed off and someone happy says “life is good” and you want to punch them.

its not _them_
😃

this is even assuming depletion is your situation.
without a significant break, its only probable.

i dont take vitamins now,
i just eat lots of raw honey,
pollen,royal jelly
micro-brew beer

and TONS of steamed/raw vegies.

Hey Lor,

That’s what I think I’m looking for right now. I don’t know precisely what’s up, so I’m trying to be comprehensive. If “depletion” is the problem, then there should be a marked negativity on the before tests that will be absent from the after tests. So I guess the before tests are trying to test for that as a possible condition. If I can rule that out, then I can continue with my theory.

It’s rather hard to try and put together a test that properly considers so many different variables, especially when you are testing on yourself and trying to use your own judgment to interpret what is going on. I appreciate any and all ideas that will help me better approach these pheromones.

I’m glad to see a fan of micro-beers. What kinds or brands do you like? When I have a bit of money to throw around, I am a big fan of trying anything new and random I can get my hands on. I really like belgiums and IPA’s right now. And anything with a high ABV to it (drink less to get drunk more).

Took a shower this morning, ate a nice sandwich for lunch and am now repeating my IG test from yesterday. Three sprays to the chest. So far it’s only 5 minutes, but I am noticing that I am incredibly tense. Like an intense tightening of all the muscles in my chest and shoulders. So far I am not getting the intense negative emotional response from yesterday, but this still isn’t very pleasant.

i dig the imperial stouts and IPA’s.

on tap we are drinking bell’s expedition and old rasputin,
smuttynose IPA and dogfish head 60/90.

im not so much into the buzz although its frosting on the cake.

im in it for flavor so might drink a st bernardus quad over a higher ABV like dogfish 120.

I’m sure I’m probably on the opposite side of the country, otherwise I’d stop in for a beer. Dogfish 120 is way overkill. It’s the kind of beer you have once just to say to yourself that you tried it once. The 90 or 60 are much much better.

Yeah, incredibly tense, tightness in chest, as if preparing for something. almost cowering. 3 sprays seems to be too much. minor negative emotional response after 1 hour. Was feeling rather mopey. Sneezing rather intensely.

Fast forward. 3 hours after initial application. now I am noticing I am getting a little bit of the go with the flow in charge vibe normally expected from -rone. Went for a walk just for the hell of it, and felt pretty good. Still a bit of non-confrontational vibe following me though, I noticed that I would intentionally walk on the other side of the street from others if I could do so as part of whatever direction I was going.

Feeling more up beat at home, coolness, goodness. Kinda tired -ish.

Marty

A two week break would be good and I prefer Lor’s method of naturally eating what will help with the depletion of neurotransmitters.

This article may give us more understanding of the situation.

> [@](#):
>
> There are several common problems that can result in depletion of brain chemicals.
> Genetics can play a part. There are certain genes that program our brains to produce mood-enhancing chemicals, but some of us inherited genes that undersupply the chemicals. Parents who have low supplies of naturally stimulating and sedating brain chemicals often produce depressed or anxious children.
>
> Prolonged stress uses up the precious stores of brain chemicals that naturally calm your nerves. Over time, your brain can’t keep up with the demand, which is why you start to “help” your brain by eating foods that have drug-like effects on it.
> Regular use of refined sugars and flours (which exhibit drug-like properties), not only affect your blood glucose levels, thereby depriving your brain of the only fuel it can burn; but they also inhibit the production of any of your brain’s natural pleasure chemicals. All of these substances can plug into your brain and actually fill up the empty spaces, called receptors, where your natural brain drugs-the neurotransmitters-should be plugging in. Your brain senses that the receptors are already full, so it further reduces the amount of neurotransmitters that it produces. As the levels of neurotransmitters drop, more and more alcohol, drugs, or drug-like foods are needed to fill newly emptied brain slots. This vicious cycle ends when these substances you ingest are unable to fill the bill any longer. Now your brain’s natural mood resources are more depleted than they ever were, and you still crave mood-enhancing replacements-sugar, alcohol, or other drugs.
>
> A diet deficient in high quality protein is a major contributor to emotional disorders. Your brain relies on protein-the only food source of amino acids-to make all of its mood-enhancing chemicals. If you are not getting enough lean, complete protein, you won’t be able to manufacture these vital “feel-good” neurotransmitters.
>
> Protein supplies the body with essential amino acids, which are the building blocks for the four “feel-good” neurotransmitters. L-tyrosine and L-glutamine are the amino acids needed to produce norepinephrine and dopamine. L-taurine increases levels of GABA. DL-phenylalainine and L-glutamine (as well as regular exercise) increase production of endorphins. And L-tryptophan (5-HTP) is needed to create serotonin. L-glutamine is also essential to fuel the brain to help alleviate sweet cravings.
>
> Initially, in order to quickly replenish your neurotransmitter reserves, you can supplement with these isolated amino acids for a short period of time. However, it is important to eat high quality sources of lean, complete protein at regular intervals throughout the day, to keep your neurotransmitters at optimal levels. If you eat lean, complete protein every 3-4 hours (at least at each main meal) you will notice moods will stabilize and cravings will cease.
> Foods rich in lean, complete protein include fish, chicken, eggs, egg whites, wild game, organic free-range beef, turkey, cottage cheese, and whey protein. Whey protein isolate is the richest source of essential amino acids, in their most absorbable form.
> Water is also essential for proper functioning of your brain’s neurotransmitters, so it is also essential that you stay hydrated. You can do that by drinking water consistently throughout the day (aim for 1 glass of pure water every hour you are awake), as well as avoiding coffee, alcohol, and other caffeinated liquids and foods.

Now if you want to go the supplement route as well, [Country life](http://www.country-life.com/) is a good place to look. Jasmin uses them and suggested I use the Coenzyme B-Complex formula. Vinpocetine I also use but not daily, just a few times a week or when I don’t have time to eat right, you do have to take it with food though. Its a great supplement and I do feel the difference when using it. They have some other great supplements to use but I haven’t researched them yet so I don’t want to suggest them. Oh and I always take a multivitamin in the morning with milk. I cant take vitamins with any other liquid or they make me nauseous.

Now meditation can also be great for you piece of mind and you should set aside at least 15 minutes to a half hour a day for this. I don’t want to over whelm you though so you can think about that later if you want LOL
