Actually there used to be about 65 million years ago. In fact, balmy tropical waters teaming with gentle dinos…
This has nothing to do with the thread topic, but Peregrine your avatar CRACKS ME UP everytime I see it lol.

no no no.. you don’t understand. everytime i see YOUR avatar i crack up.
I did some research and I found out that the seller has switched to these cobalt glass bottles (Cobalt Blue Glass Bottles 1/2 oz w/Caps #24 - eBay (item 110436381466 end time Oct-18-09 13:00:17 PDT))
the total cost with shipping is $26.39 assuming he sells most of these things for a total of $5, he makes a total gain of 5.278, assumeing he usues all 24 of these bottles the sum comes up to 139.3 and subtract that from 26.39 thats a gain of about $113. I have no idea whats in those bottles but noticed that the seller has recently purchased some POLO sport. I know exactly what POLO sport smells like since my cousin has a full bottle of it, and if it turns out to be this then well we have a scammer.
He’s probably trying to make it seem more “Androtics” in appearance. Definitely something fishy going on here, I would stay away.
What’s the person’s user name on ebay, that you purchased this stuff from? I bet I can do some detective work and profile them.
I have a 99.9 positive trade rate on another site, not ebay (with over 6000 trades under my belt) you don’t get that sort of rep without knowing how the game works. And out of the 7 people that gave me negative feedback, 6 of them I knew I was going to get bad feedback before it was received…
haha. just wait. i got another in storage im waiting to use when the time is right ![]()

789moss is the name of the ebay seller.
I have just asked them a couple of questions. I’d say “scam”, but depending on what they say to Q’s we’ll see. I’ll let you know when or should i say “if” they reply.
They don’t say in their ad that it’s a mone product. So may get away with selling it the way they are. They are playing on the fact that you will tell yourself that it is when looking at the name and description they have given it.
Yeah but it’s labled under the catergory;
Listed in category:
- Health & Beauty >
- Fragrances >
- Men >
- Pheromones
so a simple search of “pheromone cologne” will praobly yield results
True… well, lets see what they say to the questions i asked. ![]()
I used to sell on eBay, too. Years. I had a very high seller rating… something like 99.7% for 1,000 sales. I got off ebay for the reason that they just don’t have a sane grasp of reality when it comes to how they treat sellers, and I have stopped buying from ebay because more and more you have to spend a half an hour reading the ad to make sure it’s not a scam… and even then, I have been burned. eBay seems to have lost their way.
I don’t understand why they’d sell this stuff so cheap (even if it is fake)… cause if they get some people to buy it, they’re not going to buy again… and the only way you’d ever make good money on something so cheap is quantity. Well hey maybe this will make some people not like pheromones giving us the upper hand ![]()
They’re working off the principle that if they only paid $5 for it, it’s not worth their time to persue a refund.
There’s loads of scams, like sending people refunds via cheques and having those cheques made to look like a penis so people are too embarrased to cash it in.
Ebay is easy to abuse because they have a stupid system made to profit ebay and not to work for sellers /buyers. If you complain about a fake product they want you to fax over information… Yup, an online entity wants you to use FAX, on purpose of course to stop people from getting refunds via paypal’s protection scheme. Then, the seller at some point will get banned from ebay and they keep their funds and you wont get a penny back 100% gain for ebay.
Regardless of all this, this A314 on ebay is clearly fake and I hope Androtics presue their removal, if only for trademark violation since A314 is a trade name for their pheromone product.
That said the text they are using on their ebay listing has been stolen from someone else, I can find 3 websites but one redirects to love scent so I can only assume it’s text that love scent used A314.
That’s a lesson in frustration. I’ve endured multiple cases of ebay sellers stealing my intellectual property (web articles and photos) and it takes weeks to jump through all the hoops. And, yep, you have to FAX all documentation! By the time ebay fraud/theft investigators get around to you the sale is long over, and nothing happens to the seller.
Personally I would contact a lawyer, see where I legally stand and if it’s allowed, take ebay to small claims court and milk a lot of pennies out of them.
A simple cease and desist letter will most likely make e-bay poop themselfs into suspending the disputed listings almost instantly. Ebay has their official system for reporting listings but you don’t actually have to use that, a cease and desist should be a thousand times more effective than going through their support staff trainined by monkeys. I remember when an artist stole one of my images and use it in his portfolio, I went stright to his webhost (after he refused to respond to my e-mail) and got his account suspended.
It more of a problem with buyers who are somewhat forced to use their system, since they can’t claim it’s fake with authority since they dont own the trademarks etc..
This A314 is almost guranteed to be fake, infact, I’d be cautious as to putting this product on my skin as we do not know what they have subsituted the oil with, engine oil is probabily cheaper than the oil basis used for skin products.
I guess you haven’t been involved with much litigation. Believe me–after a couple run-ins–I can say it is something you want to avoid except as a last resort. It pretty much eats away your life, time and resources. I’d rather be publicly flogged and run nekid through the mall. I bet Ebay has a frickin’ kickass legal team and endless piles 'o green.
You just have to accept whatever you put on the 'net will be stolen and there isn’t much you can do about it.
I agree,
Having sold 100’s of different things on the net, the only way to keep ahead is to keep new things rolling in. You can spend hours writing ad’s and making nice images. But at the end of the day, someone else will see you are doing well with a particular product and take it and do the same thing. I have tried to undercut / take people to small claims, but at the end of the day it takes far to much energy and its best to move on and look for something else. It’s hard being the innovator…
Most products have a life span of about 6 months on the net until you get far to much competition and it’s not worth doing them anymore. At the moment I have one product I sell “one” of every week that brings in just over $400 profit for not more than 30 minutes work on my part for each sale. I’m always looking over my shoulder to see if anyone else has cottoned on to it… so far so good, when someone does, that’s the end of that one and not because they will drive the price down with competition so much… if they don’t have the knowledge to sell it - they will kill the reputation I have establish for it and that will drive the price down (no one wins)… no, I’m not saying what it is…! ![]()
The same could be said for this person on ebay. I haven’t had any reply to my questions yet. And that will just tarnish A314’s rep to people that don’t know. Its damage to the real thing and that is not countable in lost sales because you never hear from those ‘could have been” real customers…
Just my 2 cents worth
Actually, that’s not true for everything. I sell used camera gear and sales have been steady and value has consistently high for the last 10 years for items like Canon L series optics and late model DSLRs. And, oddly, there is plenty of competition. On the other hand, pro music gear is a total bust as musicians are such friggen cheapskates. But whatever, I stay the hell away from fleabay…
