The people at Antiaging Systems have expressed the idea that Ultraviolet alone isn’t sufficient for the major damage associated with sun exposure, they beleive that the **presence of metals** (iron, lead, etc) in the skin, some may be absorbed directly from bathwater, combined with high energy photons from sunlight, may then release free radicals that damage the skin… sort of like when you put iron particles into stable hydrogen peroxide it foams like crazy… they make some kind of chealting product you add to the bath to pull the excess metal directly out of the skin… making sun exposure less destuctive…

One of the most reactive metals is Cesium. Cesium atoms have an ionization of 3.89eV and Cesium molecules have an ionization of 3.17eV. UVA is 400nm-320nm and UVB is 320nm-280nm. The energy of the photon is 1239.8eV\*nm. Therefor a photon at the extreme UVB range will have an energy of 4.43eV. Enough for Cesium. Ionization for potassium in K2SO4 is 4.1eV and in KCl is 5.0eV. This same photon will have enough for K2SO4, but not KCl. This stresses the importance of making sure your sunscreen is a UVB protectant. There is also UVC and DUV(Deep UV) which is even more damaging. I’m withholding belief of this company’s claim until this is confirmed however, since it doesn’t explain skin types that are relatively free of sun damage.
