Title: Line Naming
Just a quick note to update you on \*\*\*\*\*. He has been sometimes sitting by himself in class, sometimes by choice. He often does not correct his homework unless reminded by me more than once. Yesterday I had to remind him twice. He claimed he “did not hear me the first time”. This is not proper middle school behavior and will not be tolerated. In class he decided not to take notes on the formula for the slope of a line as “He knows it”. I sat by him during work time where he wasted his time and although he ended up knowing the slope of a line formula and got 11/12 on the day’s assignment he did not complete it. He completely neglected to put the date on his paper, even though he had the time to “name” a line on his paper – he called it Frederick. I highly dislike this “name”. As of today he has a B in math. This grade is anything but acceptable. I urge you to motivate him to try harder. I would like you to know that I will not stand for line naming in my class. It goes against the code for students behavioral expectations. I’m sure you’ll understand that this is \*\*\*\*\*’s final warning before weekend detentions will be issued.
Sincerely, Ms. \*\*\*

Delicious time wasting to be had at [Emails from Crazy People](http://emailsfromcrazypeople.com).

Although I am a little pissed, my best buddy and I had an idea to do this in book form like 4 years ago (at the time we had both recently received a couple really crazy letters from girls we weren’t dating). Alas, I guess I missed the bus on that.
