I’ve suffered from hyperhydrolosis (over active sweat glands) since I was a teenager. I stumbled upon a product called Certain Dri one day, and low and behold, it actually works.

Now from a strictly pheromonal (is that a word?) perspective, hyperhydrolosis might actually be more of a god-send than a problem. More sweat = more natural mones right? But sweaty pits is something that causes a great deal of insecurity (not to gross anyone out), and I’d rather rid myself of the condition, despite plugging up the most prominent region that my natural mones are dispersed.

To what extent do you guys think such a strong anti-perspirant might affect my natural mone release? Or perhaps, do you guys think I should make any drastic adjustments to how I apply [synthetic pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/)?

I really don’t think it should affect things TOO much, but maybe someone knows better than I.

I read good things (on the internet!!) about the method described in an ebook sold at this website:
[preventsweating.com](http://preventsweating.com)
I finally bought this ebook around a week back but haven’t got around to trying it. Can’t reveal too much here but it looks like it might work without blocking up sweat production.
Also aluminum chloride used in Certain Dri is said to be harmful for the skin, but I don’t know.

Botox also works for sweat, but who knows what it does for mones? Oh, and you’ve gotta be comfortable with having bacterial toxins injected into you that last for months. Of course, people use it for wrinkles all the time, so why not for a legitimate medical condition?

I truly wonder if there is really a relationship between sweat output and pheromone output. It could be that more sweat just dilutes the [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) you have. This warrants further study.

I have a sweat and underarm odor problem too and I just started using Lavilin (for the past two days) which is supposedly free from Aluminum and other harsh chemicals. It works great and hasn’t stopped sweating although it completely eliminates odor. One application is supposed to last seven days even after showering and strenuous activities. We will see…but so far it feels great! I think this should work for you as well.

Does certain dri block sweating or just takes care of odor?

Certain Dri stops sweat altogether. I never had an odor problem, but I do break a sweat for no reason at all, even in cool, comfortable settings. The heat and humidity in Houston only make matters much, much worse. Even if I’m out in the heat, I’ll break a light sweat on my forehead, but my pits are nice and dry. I tried all kinds of anti-perspirants, and none of them worked consistently…not even Mitchum, which so many swear by.

I use Certain Dri every other night before I go to bed. They also make a daytime deodorant that I use every morning. I really don’t think I need it, since certain dri works so well. Just for peace of mind I guess. Its not thick at all, and really lightly scented which is a big up. I hate the smell of deodorants.

Oh yeah and to everyone out there complaigning about the heatwave going on, welcome to our world. We deal with this kind of heat on a yearly basis lol.

I think this underarm odor is somewhat due to my diet being rich in Indian spicy food which I eat atleast once a day.
Stopping sweat altogether maybe a good idea once in a while but I will definitely not do that on a regular basis just because it seems a little extreme. Certain Dri worked so well for you, so maybe I will buy it and keep it for special occasions when I know I am going to be in a humid or stuffy place for too long.

Hey Sigma I have to ask this… but.. are you physically in shape? Guys with more weight tend to sweat alot more. Just like skinny people are always cold. I get hot alot too, but thats just because I’m not very acclimated to hot weather.

Yeah I’m in shape. I work out 4-5 times a week actually, and sit right around a 12 % BMI. I was real skinny up until about the age of 19, when I started working out regularly. At 5’11, I weighed about 130 lbs 😮, and I had the same problem with sweating back then. I now weigh 170, mostly muscle.

lol ok.. so we know its not because you have too much insulation.. unless muscle may cause that? I have this thing where I get really hot quick, because of rapid emotional shift, metabolism or something.. so I was then thinking that since you are very active, that that could also be the cause of body heat and sweating as well?

For one I sweat easily.. and I do not worry too much about it. Perhaps applying your synthetic pheremones to areas where your body doesn’t heat up and sweat as rapidly. Like the front neck area as opposed to the back neck area… to the forearms… even on your clothes if you want them to last longer. I also heard that people who sweat more are healthier =)

Yeah I’ve always had a really fast metabolism. It was next to impossible for me to put on weight when I was a kid. I overcame it by eating riduculous amounts of food, and actually put on quite a bit of fat mass my freshman year. They call it the freshman 15. I had the freshman 25 lol. Its very easy for me to diet and lose weight still, just as I build mass pretty quickly.

I really don’t sweat anywhere else though…not on a regular basis at least. Out here in the Houston heat, its an inevitability if you stay outside long enough, but the only area that’s been a regular problem for me has been the pits.

OK well… I have a different question… based on natural pheromone production, etc. I also use a deoderant that’s an anti-perspirant.. it’s a sports gel or w/e… called right guard extreme or something… so… what does this mean in respect to pheromones?

It might not be too healthy to use often, I think.
With regards to pheromones - it won’t effect the ones you spray on, but the natural ones, I guess it might…

I guess the Japanese aren’t into androstenone as they developed an anti-perspirant to block it:

[Lion Elucidates Mechanism of Androstenone, Male Body Odor Causative Factor](http://www.japancorp.net/Article.Asp?Art_ID=8804)

We may have to start rubbing our pits with apricot kernels (ouch!) since the product isn’t available in the USA.

By the way, it’s called Ban Zero deodorant by Lion.

I used to sweat a hell of a lot and it seemed like I was sweating so much that I was just sweating water. It did not smell that bad relative to normal B.O . I obviously never took any androstenone samples but I would hypothesize that sweating that much just rinses away your natural pheros.

Gegogi, interesting product, very typical of the Japanese approach to making everything so sterile and neutral like. I read somewhere that Japanese manufacturers treat all thier leather products with some chemical that eliminates the leather smell, interesting since in most western countries the leather like smell is desired by consumers when buying leather products.

After trying the pit trick with some pure instinct, I sweated more the next day.. perhaps it was the adrostenone which induced it, and I think my natural pheros increased too…

sweat is water and salts, pheromones are androgens and metabolically derived molecules. Increased sweat is not congruent with increased natural pheromone output, that would mean increased androgen production which would be noticeable. The bacteria require a relatively stable axillary environment to ferment the -nol into -none but to my knowledge the purpose of the sports anti-perspirants is to mask all odours by blanketing the sites with a layer of deo’ molecules like using a foam fire hydrant to put out a fire in effect blocking all natural pheromones aswell.
