# any film makers??

wondering if any film makers are lurking around here?  
I am about to purchase my first DSLR camera to use as a video camera mainly, and pictures secondary.

im going with a canon 550D (rebel T2i)

main reasons this one cuz  
sub 1k  
1080p @ 30/25/24 fps  
720p @ 50/60 fps  
and 18 mega pixels of lies (mp dont mean crap, the Nikon d90 higher quality pictures at 12.3 mp)

im going with this set up for now  
T2i, shot gun mic, 32 gig sdhc (the T2i can use sdxc, which will be +32 gigs. i think, i know i saw pic of 2 TB sdxc)

for now anyways.

just figured id post here cuz i like u guys 😃

any-who any filmographers, preferably dslr guys, what lenses you run?  
im looking for a good low light lens, i hear the 50mm 1.8 is pretty good.

I use a Cannon HG21 for some movies I mess around with. Nothing pro yet, but I really like the camera. It has very nice resolution and does everything I need. I was thinking of going to a pro line, but I just don’t use it enough to get my moneys worth.

What type of films are you making?

Can’t help you out here. When I was making films I used a camera like [THIS](http://www.kitmondo.com/ViewListing.aspx?lid=228396&prodName=Bolex-Paillard_H16-Reflex).😃

right now I’m just getting used to recording with a DSLR, and the field of depth techniques,  
going to progress from clips -\> videos to match music -\> short films.

this camera records amazing video, just a few videos of my brothers stang on our favorite road, and just around my place, nothing good yet.

lol @ Mtnjim 😃 i have actually used a similar camera before, i like style produces by them.
