> Yes, that’s quite an old mix, indeed. It could’ve been during our “try to make everything as organic and natural as possible” phase, which didn’t quite turn out as well as had hoped. There’s simply no suppliers that make organic alcohol that’s as odor neutral as conventional perfumers alcohol.

> Certain pheromones have their own smell, and some even change the perception of other odors, as well. It’s possible there’s something in MX113 that smell bad to you, or alters your perception of the Akuto scent.
>
> I suggest you try plain Akuto @ 15% strength. Amy will have to make it for you. It’ll be about a week until she returns. After that time, you can simply arrange it with Mick or Steve. I’ll authorize it.

Sounds good Michael, I am hoping I do like it since then I will have more choices to choose from when purchasing pheros and then be able to repurchase A314 again

Thanks

[Akuto](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/akuto/) smell like Burberry London, the two scents are identical (or so close you can’t tell the difference.

> This is not to try to influence you to say Akuto. Rather, if you could give a “brain dump” of what happened in your unconscious mind when I said “What’s wrong with saying Akuto?”, I’d appreciate it. Any fears, worries, scenes you run in your head, other words you don’t want people to see if they look this stuff up, etc.

> Surely we do our best not to be yet another fraud or sex company (or in what I like to refer to as “the dildo market”, ha). I’ve worked very hard for years to inspect the actuality reality of these molecules (reality being as plain vanilla and practical as you can get), and then to figure out how the _reality_ of these molecules can best aid humanity on both a macro and individual level. It’s a very practical, non-sex fiend approach.

Old topic, yes, but still relevant.

There are a few reasons I don’t want people to know I’m using mones. Most practically, I want my test subjects to be blind. I want them to react genuinely to my cloud, without suspicion that they are being influenced chemically. This is the most comfortable answer, but it’s certainly not one of the more pressing ones.

Mainly, there is still a stigma attached to pheromones. In large, I think most people see them as pseudo-science, at least when it comes to humans. It’s well known that insects use them, but it’s seen as “wishful thinking” for humans to use them: hence the larger-than-life satirical light they’re given in movies. Ocean’s 13, anyone? Therefore, anyone who actually uses them is laughed at, as though you were duped into buying a magical love potion. And who would naively stoop to such lows, except someone who was desperate? So rather than get the patronizing lecture of “stop wasting your money on such silliness, there are better ways to get a man”, (even if I’m wearing them for reasons other than attraction) I prefer to operate covertly. Even with the one person I did tell, I felt the need to explain the science of it before I came out and admitted what I was doing.

Secondly, in the rare cases where pheromone science might be taken seriously, I don’t want to open the door for an ethical debate. I have no patience for accusations regarding whether pheros are manipulative or dishonest. It’s not mind control. It’s a nonverbal communication tool.

So these are my 3 reasons for taking precautions against being discovered with pheromones. I usually use cover lines like, “it’s body mist”, or “it’s a fragrance called neroli”. In the rare case that somebody sees the bottle, I just call it an experimental fragrance from a company that let me test out something they’re working on. Thank goodness everything not in the consumer line is coded!

…and yes, a web search of the phrase “akuto fragrance” immediately brings up 3 links regarding pheromones.

I am looking for an Akuto like smelling perfume. I’ve bought the Burberry London and compare w. [MX297](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/mx297/) Akuto. Well, first 15 minutes it is almost identical. Later after drydown these two scents I’d describe as parallel, like Akuto was a top and London heart of the same parfume.
Continue looking for a more similar parfume I’ve just ordered sample size Gaultier’s Le Male

Androtics sells Akuto scent without pheromones here among the choices of a bottle with alcohol or dpg in light (prob 6%) or full strength (Prob the 20%). I’m sure they can put it back once things are all settled from their move and caught up. Hopefully they will update with the [Blue Summer](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/blue-summer/) everyone likes, and the new Stealth scent so we can use with our other blends… I’ll mention to them after they are caught up if not done from regular restocking.
