Hah! My husband, or should I say my current husband 😉 (who happens to be a road musician, like the author’s bereft and betrayed spouse) sent me the link yesterday. He’s such an Eeyore, always looking on the bright side 🙄

Sandra Tsing Loh is so much more amusing in audio than in print … “Eckhart Tolle is a hairless mouse” 😛

While I wouldn’t necessarily say that marriage is doomed, she makes some good points about “marriage the way we do it in america”

I like her idea for tribal childrearing, though.

Im about to “take the plunge” watching myself step into this marriage with that statistical undercurrant of doom, he and I will move out of the big city and on to suburbia. I face anxiety and dread at living a life destined to end in yet another american statistic, yet Im marching ahead?

‘Destined’? Don’t be so pessimistic, Julia. 🙂 I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you and wish the two of you a long and happy life together. 😃 Hopefully, you’ll be together until you’re separated by death.
