Any chance the forum will get avatar upload options? think its a neat way for users to more personalize the way they are viewed in threads and would potentially increase forum participation frequency. ---

Hey, we were on the same wavelength here. I was just wondering why nobody uses an avatar, and checked the settings to make sure they were turned on. So you don’t have the option to upload one? ---

No it only has one option that is defaultly selected and that is “do not use avatar” there aren’t any more options available when you select the edit avatar link in the control panel. The edit profile picture link and function works for uploading personal pictures..just not the avatar function. It needs the option to upload pictures. ---

u can add pics to your profile just not avatars currently. ---

It appears to work for me. I’ll have to try logging in as a normal user. ---

Okay, I think I fixed it. You should be able to go to your control panel now, go to Edit Avatar, and then upload your own picture (or that of your preferred supermodel 😉). ---

Well, for the heck of it I thought I might explain FYI what my current avatar is. Group art shot of cast from Japanese anime “Tokyo Mew Mew” (known in US as “Mew Mew Power”). I just like magical girl shojo anime… Fun, entertaining, and they sure are cute. (No I do NOT have a “lolita” complex…) Stuck it on as an “attachment” to this message as I may change avatars in the future and otherwise you won’t know what I’m talking about… 😛 ---

well then i will explain mine too, the female orangutan in my avatar had just finished reading the test results which intended to show that regular consumption of the male orangutan’s baby batter reduces the females chances of experiencing breast cancer. the male orangutan in my avatar is obviously tired of the nagging female, and has been coerced into accomodating her in exchange for a few moments peace and quiet. ---

Another avatar FYI: Gone from Sailor Moon to Belldandy in May 2007 (Ah/Oh My Goddess). Both symbolize hope. Plus they’re cute!
