If a woman has an especially jealous lover, this might be relevant. On the other hand, if you’ve been in a stable monogamous relationship for a long time, a little rivalry (real or imagined) is not a bad thing - it can serve to wake up a complacent partner.
My husband knows about the pheromones, but if I were dating or with a new partner, I would feel no need to disclose, unless the nature of the relationship warranted it (and I really dislike jealous/possessive attitudes, so that in itself would be a bad match for me).
I extend my apologies for my previous post. Apparently someone found it a bit presumptuous and offensive, and dinged me rep points for it.
Indeed as the commentor privately noted, most everyone on this board is more experienced in these matters than myself. My cogitations on these matters have little value, and should be taken for what they are worth. Perhaps interesting curiosities.
HLW3, welcome to the forum! I speak for most people here when I say that we appreciate and enjoy thoughtful and insightful people here. Your insights are very much appreciated, whether you are wrong or right, we are all learning from each other.
? i don’t get it. there was nothing in your previous post that could be taken as offensive. please don’t let something as simple as this keep you from posting or having an opinion.
hlw3, I didn’t find anything offensive or presumptuous about your post. A concern occurred to you, and you voiced it very thoughtfully. Nothing wrong with that!
There is a lot of speculation that goes on in this forum, and sometimes that takes us interesting places, yet I find the most useful information comes out of experience in the field. Some of that gets reported in a very bare-bones way, some in highly dramatic narrative serialized over a period of months, and some with a lot of theorizing or embedded suggestion served as a side dish. There’s room for everybody here, and I hope you’ll stay and play!
is there the possibilty there was a mistake?
i thought your insight was fabulous!
i think you ought to have recieved points for that, not had them taken away. im thinking there was a mistake there.
Thanks you all for the understanding! Sometimes it is difficult to communicate over the internet, and misunderstandings are easy when tones, expresions, and mannerisms are absent.
Yes. My limited experience is from the male viewpoint. I’ve used a pheremone product that had behavoiral effects. I noted “jealousy” effects similar to what I’ve described in a long-term female partner, and this was definitely different from the effects noted on other females. That is part of what sparked my thoughts in this thread. Of course, a sample size of one is not particularly convincing to anyone. However, this thread got me to thinking about the possible mechanisims of such “jealousy” effects.
It is also possible to speculate on the differences in possesiveness and/or agression between the sexes, and possible stronger or weaker mechanisms depending on whether one is male or female, but I suspect that would really be an emotionally loaded subject.
Also, a partner with a long association with a mate’s signature may be somewhat disturbed or puzzled by any change in that signature. Maybe not. But it is a possibility I intend to be aware of.
Yes! That’s something I’ve thought about too. But even though my husband says he prefers my natural scent over any fragrance or pheromone, I’ve noticed that he responds strongly positively to certain pheros (lightly dosed copulins, MX105, MX138 and MX140, for example) even when he doesn’t consciously smell them. He’s remarked about it being my scent, or the scent of my breath, that is wonderful to him, those times. Or maybe the sex at those times is just especially intense and mindblowing and he doesn’t question why. So maybe when the pheromonal enhancement isn’t too far off from your own natural signature, it just feels like a really good day, or night … or maybe a man (or a woman) likes the little fantasy of a different lover now and then (or just a lover who’s somehow different, or especially hot, tonight).
This is interesting. A couple of months ago, in some of my tests on TAL, I was wearing a couple of very light dabs of Essence of Woman on my neck, covered with only neroli-scented TAL. I have always liked the neroli scent, and I can usually smell it on myself even hours after application.
Well, one of my male “friends” immediately stated that I “smelled good”.
The other one’s reaction was quite strange to me, until I read your post, Carrie. He gave me a hug and I noticed that he inhaled as he did, so I asked him how he liked my new cologne. He stated that he couldn’t smell it so much, but could “taste” it, and that it was very sexy. I know he didn’t literally taste it, because he wasn’t licking me or anything (at least not at that point… ).
Maybe it was just that the EW and TAL blended well with my natural signature (that he was familiar with), and therefore it was undetectable to him. Hmmmmm, interesting thought…
My marriage could certainly use the uplift pre-release dirty can bring. My husband is on an antidepressant that quelches his sex drive. I’m on an antidepressant that raises mine so what do we do I’m alone in my misery while he watches TV. Well no more, I’m ordering Dirty and instant sexiness and will test small doses until I get results. I also intend to wear Dirty with Spaceland, if I can find it to work incase one of the hunks there want to engage in a little extramarital fling. Hey whatever works, I’m ravenous.
