I’ve known quite a few and really they are no different than any other girl who is making a living. So they wear tight shorts and low cut shirts revealing cleavage. I say at least they know it and are doing it up front. Many women wear clothing and act above other women because of clothing. I knew some women in the corporate world who essentially whored themselves out to get ahead (apology for the offensive imagery). In my view their a lot worse than a woman who at least is comfortable with who she is physically and is working to make women.

It’s OK to go there, but its not OK to date them? No offense CK but I read that as you have a low self-image of yourself. You can be seen ogling them as long as its at a restaurant, but not be seen with a beautiful young lady outside that venue.

I disagree with yah on this completely 🙂

Well, when I was in this military unit, this one dude used to date a stripper and anohter a hooter’s girl… Other guys, including somne married ones, talked down on them, saying they should find "real " women.
Well, I got the sense that your social value might actually drop by dating these chicks…
It was especially ‘No-No’ for officers…

Personally, I don’t mind dating them casually, but I don’t see myself raising children with them 🙂 I rather seek a conservative, motherly, soft-spoken lady, but that is just me.

I have to chime in on this.

Your job does not determine who you are as a person.

And why would you care about the social value “dropping” because someone else has a closed-minded perspective on those reasons.

I also say this because I’ve known women who have worked at hooters and places that are like them, and are probably more intelligent than you and I. I’ve met law school, med school, MBA girls that worked at these types of places.

I’ve also met girls that this is what they think of as good money, but either way, who cares, career and your job doesn’t definite who you are, how good you are, and what kind of person you could be on the inside.

I think its complete utter BS people think like that.

I don’t have anything against strippers or hooters or even
red-light district girls.

When did I mention thatsomeone should be defined or judged by their jobs or careers? Plus, getting into MBA, med, law or PhD schools don’t necessarily mean one is intelligent. It is more about efficiency, dedication and hard-work. For whatever reason, whenver I work hard and am persistent, I do well and reach my goal. I even get better scores than many from Harvard and Hopkins. When I slack off, I don’t do well and do even worst than many from some regular state schools like Cal State Fullerton (No offense to those that go there).
Plus, some girls have sex with some professors to get ahead.

The fact that a person works at these type of places - pretty much using or selling sex or sexuality to get money/favoritism- that is the main problem.
Usually, these girls know that this will generate money. These type of girls also tend to be VERY LIBERAL and alpha. They go after what they want; sometimes, at all cost. Many guys like them and good for them.

Personally, I just want a cute, down-to-earth, homely girl that wants to stay home and raise family. That is just me and you have to respect it.

So then stop using [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) to “enhance” your likability, cause afterall, its pretty much the same thing.

I can see what Coolkat says. Some time ago I saw this business on undercover boss. One of the managers made the girls compete by eating a plate of beans without hands, so their faces would get dirty, in order to win an afternoon off. I find that very distasteful. I also would feel uneasy working at a place that sells the opportunity to ogle boobs while enjoying a fastfood meal with your children. Money is nice but there are some thing I would not subject myself to unless I was litterally starving. Having pretty clothes and nice holidays aren’t things I value as much as being treated with courtesy, keeping my innocense intact, and acting in a way I consider to be tasteful. I respect people with other values, but for marriage, I’d choose someone who roughly shares my values. It is the most important part of compatibility in my opinion.

But having different values does not mean someone has a lower social value. Another guy may not work to work at a bank because it does not go well with his socialist ideas, and he may not see me as a suitable wife for him because I act in a way that goes against his values. I don’t mind, there are other men out there, why would I want one that is not compatible? I think it is great we all have different values, otherwise we would all want the same jobs and the same girls and guys. Variety is the spice of life.

I get that.

But because undercover boss shows it, doesn’t mean that’s indicative of the entire industry as a whole.

The whole thing is people seem to think that them doing what they have to do to survive is necessarily something that goes against their values. They’re not doing anything amoral, its a job, it’s what they have to do.

Out there its a dog eat dog world, and maybe that’s the job they can do to make the most money with their time. People like these advocacy groups don’t know jack shit about the shoes that many of other people go through, they just like to sit there and judge.

This goes for exotic dancers, escorts, etc.. You may not agree with what they’re doing, but it’s a free country and the time you start limiting the rights of others then what’s left? I know that’s a bit extreme but banning hooters cause of such reasons is plain dumb.

In other news, Hooters opens a store in Japan.

[Hooters opens in Japan. - By Paige Ferrari - Slate Magazine](http://www.slate.com/id/2276982/)

Interesting enough to point out, the article mentions the Japanese has a fascination with themed dress-up that contributes more to sexual imagery than big breasts. In fact, the breasts get little to no highlight as an erotic zone with even a derogatory term for big breasts… …yet many places in the public media glorifies big hooters.

I don’t think it goes against their values. After all, they chose to work there rather than say, the chinese restaurant next door, likely because of the higher pay. If so, this means they value the higher pay more than avoiding that sort of environment. They simply have different values than I do. I’d make the choice to work at the chinese place and spend a bit less. But to each her own.

Now if a girl has no choice but the sex industry and its cousins to avoid being homeless and hungry, I’d be saddened for her. This happens a lot in third world countries, though it is rare in the west. (Unless the girl has been trafficked) Yet…she is also not going against her values, as she values being alive over avoiding activities she considers distasteful. Still an awful choice to make between two things she values deeply. Just like the man stranded in the desert has the choice to drink his own urine or not. It is up to each person to decide what life is still worth living.

To me, values are much like a list of priorities. Mine could be Survival\>Dignity and good taste\>Luxuries. For another person it could be Survival\>Luxuries\>Avoiding sexualised environment. For that person, it makes sense to work at hooters until she has a really good job with even better pay, or to work there until she married a rich man or won the lottery or grew too old for it.

To speak of moral and immoral is like saying we all have the same values, or ought to have the same values. This is not my belief. I recognize that many people have different values than I do and that what ought to be is hardly relevant. I’m not a religious believer, so to me there is no set in stone code of conduct that defines people as good or evil. I’m just a simple girl with more power than some and less than others.
