I will say that it is better to be able to grow a fuller one, just so you know what its like. Its always possible to shave it off later when the beast becomes too unmanageable.

Damn, hair or not, I love the way you write. I am trying to imagine epic sideburns.

Funny, guys are lucky. When we shave our “beards” in the summer, we have to worry about the itchy scratchy as the hair grows back. I really try to leave my Ted Nugent alone as much as poss.

Lets just say they were bordering on full-blown muttonchops. At that age, I grew them out mostly because I could.

I’m almost tempted to let my face grow out like that again and see what I can do with it.

I had a boyfriend in high school who had them…we called them “lambchops”. 😃

Thats basically what they were. I was really surprised that I could manage near-muttonchops in middle school.

I’m almost tempted to let my face go again and see what grows.

Yeah I’ve got a goatee… errr I believe it’s technically called a “van dyke” (you know a mustache and unattached goatee) and I usually try to keep some well groomed stubble in there as well.

The thought has crossed my mind about going clean shaven because some people (_cough_ Women) might find it polarizing, but eh I don’t know I really don’t think I could be comfortable clean shaven at all. To me guys with out ANY facial hair at all usually comes off as kinda girly and effeminate.

Besides virtually no one has ever really given me crap over my facial hair so it must be working for me.

In college I had a longer beard sometimes, but after I learned how to use a beard trimmer I’ve always kept it short, and I’ve always shaved my neck somewhat below the jawline.

Hehe… thanks! This is a new one since the post you quoted. Did a little Photoshopping with this one to give it that otherworldly feel.

Anywho… relevant anecdote. Once the ex-wife complained about my chin stubble… said it chafed her thighs during… um… you know. So, I shaved and the next time, I got her back good. Told her her thighs were chafing my cheeks. 😃
