It did cross my mind at some point about whether the ingredients (especially the undisclosed ones) had been tested for safety (but then most perfumes don’t disclose the ingredients and we don’t know if they pose any safety concerns either) but I didn’t gave it much thought until I came across this review from Amazon:

> This product is a total scam and a waste of money. It contains a bunch of simple acids including vinegar (acetic acid), and butryic acid which is what gives vomit it’s terrible smell. Even worse, it contains benzenethiol which is a known toxic chemical and should not be put on the skin!

I’m thinking about getting EOW after reading you girls having so much fun with it… but is it true about the benzenethiol?

I would have to say that Celines information is incorrect.

Indoles were in the industrial strength copulins that was Beta tested years ago when the first EOW came out. Not in toxic levels but certainly in volatile levels. Over the years the formula has changed from the original Beta formula. Believe me I own just about every variation. The Indoles were removed.

Thiophenol was never in EOW. I believe Celine is taking a forum discussion I had in another forum with Diane who was in the process of developing her own copulin formula because she didnt like the smell of EOW. She was explaining what components in it that could be creating that “nasty cheesy shit smell” . Benzenethiol was a suspect but come to find out years later it was Idole which is somewhat related to Thiophenol because of the molecular benzen ring. Either way the Idole was removed a few years back. Di explained all that chemistry stuff clearer.

EOW in its beta form and before the Idole was removed smelled like rotten shit and cheese. Now it still stinks but without the Idole its more of a rotten fruity cheese scent.

There are still other acids in EOW that are naturally made by the body that are volatile and can irritate skin. They are not toxic though in the dilutions and levels used cosmetically.

Pretty much all substances including [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/), EO’s, carriers, etc etc… have a toxicity rating. A threshold of were to much becomes toxic. Before you panic everyday substances have these ratings as well. EOW and the mones here are well under that level.

The long time users have been around EOW for years. I have and use the Beta formula on occasion still. You probably have seen some post refering to them as Industrial strength copulins. We need gloves and goggles to work with this formulation. The current EOW is a kitten compared to this one. Worst reports are of mild rashes and cheesy smell. I cant guarentee you it will chemically agree with you. People have allergies to various substances but it wont poison you or anything unless of course you ingest a bottle of it.

What is an Idole? What is the difference between an Idole and Benzenethiol?

So does EoW actually contain Benzenethiol? I’m worried about toxic accumulation:

Sorry Tisha, I’m a bit confused about your response as you don’t state whether the new EoW has Benzenethiol and whether it’s harmful.

I found EoW on amazon for cheap:

[Essence of a Woman - 7,5ml Pheromones unscented: Amazon.co.uk: Beauty](http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005M29QHO/ref=asc_df_B005M29QHO13696046?smid=A6E0PMCG6JSU6&tag=shoppingmp1627-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B005M29QHO)

I want to purchase it but I am not sure if it’s the new or old one and I’d like to be careful about the benzenethiol content.

Please get back to me, your response would be very much appreciated as I plan on purchasing this but i’m not sure because of this issue and I’d like to keep my budget low without wasting money on something i’ll regret later.

That appears to be the old one containing Indole and Benzenethiol.

The current one doesn’t contain it.

The old one worked better in my opinion though.

Idole is an organic compound sometimes used in the making of fragrances. Its produced by breaking down tryptophan or the introduction of bacteria to it. Its found in feces and pretty much smells like shit. LOL

Again its no longer in the current EOW, not because it was dangerous but because it just smelled so so bad.

Thank you so much! I have ordered EoW from Lovescent.

Doesn’t work as well? You mean the effect on men? Does that mean I should increase the amount I use? I was told to use 2 drops per fluid ounce of my perfume. What do you recommend? I was thinking to add 3 drops to 1.7fl oz of Realm Perfume or to this pumpkin pie and lavender fragrance oil which also has some unknown pheromones in it. I heard pumpkin pie and lavender are attractive to men.

Well there are different ways to use Copulins. For basic attraction adding it to another scent or mix is fine. It will feminize it and help influence sexual attraction.

Starting with 2 drops is fine. Its always easier to add more then to fix it if you have added to much. So remember always start low and work up.

People also use it straight to the skin. You have to let it dry down for at least 15 minutes and then cover with perfume or another mix so the smell doesn’t bleed though. Depending on the degree of reaction I want I can use anywhere from 2 drops to 10.

2 being a mild attractive youthful vibe. 10 being more a carnal, aggressive, lustful urge type of vibe.
