# Blattellaquinone, the German cockroach sex pheromone: how could we use it?

[Blattellaquinone](http://www.bocsci.com/butanoicacid-3-methyl-3-6-dioxo-1-4-cyclohexadien-1-yl-methyl-cas-849762-24-9-item-152689.html), 3-methyl-, (3,6-dioxo-1,4-cyclohexadien-1-yl)methyl ester, also known as blattellaquinone, gentisyl quinone isovalerate, is a sex [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) secreted by German female cockroach to attract male cockroaches.

So what it can be taken advantages of by us is quite clear.

I can only imagine wearing that and having my house filled with roaches.

Ironically most guys, if it could get them laid, would still probably wear it even if cockroaches followed them around..
