Well body language, just like spoken words, takes everything into consideration. It only makes sense 🙂

If you look somebody deeply in the eyes that creates an emotional reaction in the other person. As a result people consider it a good way to other’s “soul”.

The study in question investigates whether people can read emotions from still pictures.

I don’t think that any study where participants just look at still pictures don’t really capture the way humans read the emotions of other humans in real life.

Communication is definitely conveyed between folks (and other living beings) in a multitude of ways.

I bet they’re even some measure of communication that is even beyond the periphery of what we currently know, but may discover in the future. Oops I sounded kind of cooky on that last part. 😛 🙂

I agree the study needed to be for a lack a better word less antiseptic and had real life dudettes and dudes instead of photographic representations of them. (maybe there was a budget concern?)

In order to gauge a more accurate, full bodied and natural response from the test subjects. I so humbly think. 🙂
