JUST from your posts, it seems to me that you two don’t get a lot of time together. I wonder if you could be still in the ‘adjusting to the new sig’ zone. Ask Tish or Steve; don’t be down just yet.

He’s out and about a lot. He has two jobs - an office job and an illusionist/magician job. He was gone for over 12 hrs today solid; tomorrow & W he’ll be gone 14 hrs (except for about 5 mins at lunchtime and maybe 30 mins from 4:30-5:00 btwn ofc job and magic gigs) and usuallly has weekends booked too. He even had a gig on our anniversary.

Seriously, in your journals add up the times he’s been around for a fresh spray of any kind. Ask Steve how long it would take for an acknowledgement of a ‘new and improved’ mone sig, when you barely see each other. I don’t think you should assume anything just yet. I can’t remember any entries where he’s been the target - offhand.

Well, there have been some. I may have neglected to post them on account of getting home late or something. I’ve tried them on him for concerts we go to, and for some casual evenings out. Whenever we go someplace, he’s in the car with me freshly “moned-up.” And he’s usually around and about for those conventions where I sell books, too - although he’s usually moving as fast as I am at those things. He should be used to at least the basic components by now - I’ve been using them for 4 months.

I think the basic problem is that 1) we’re getting older, 2) he has some medical conditions and is in fact over-medicated (I’ve been told so by a dear friend with a similar condition), 3) we’re constantly going in different directions and don’t spend enough time together.

Unfortunately 1) is inescapable, 2) I can’t do anything about (I’ve tried). 3) I’m workin’ on.

Maybe y’all just suffer from what my good friend does: TOO MUCH GOING ON; not enough time in a day, let alone a week; medications and trying to thrive.
Maybe if you guys got a breather, he’d show different. Maybe he’s just too preoccupied with the business of living to pay attention _on top_ of everything else. I’d talk to Steve about, tho’. And specially cos he’s a boy, and understands 😮 the inner ‘workings’ of another boys’ mind.

I think you’re probably right, Astrea. Problem is, his idea of a vacay is hitting Disney World in a long weekend - which exhausts me and leaves me in pain with my bad knees - and doesn’t really give us any “down” time anyway. I get back from the vacay needing a vacay.

He is constantly going, and if he stops he falls asleep.

What I’d love - and what would bore him to tears - would be a nice beach vacay where we play in the water and lay on the beach in the morning and early evening, and spend siesta time and nights nibbling, drinking, and foolin’ around. He simply can’t be inactive that long. If nothing else he’d wind up channel surfing.

Well, that certainly makes things difficult. Could you take a vacation that was a blend of the two concepts or is that just too hard, logistically? btw, just for a second; the visuals attached to the bold statement were of a man windsurfing - took me a second to catch up to what was written and the visuals in my head were . . . 😃

What if he tries surfing, paragliding, kitesurfing, windsurfing, beachbikes, horserides, etc, for a couple hours while you nap during the day?

1. he doesn’t do any of those things. I DO. Several of 'em anyway.
2. he doesn’t like water.
3. he’d be even more tired than usual.

My first post in your journal 🙂. Me and you, sitting in a tree, W R I T I N G. I’ve been told many times I need to write a book already and the kind of dreams I have, it would be EPIC! So how much does a best selling author make these days anyway? I guess its different if its the NY Times compared to the Bloom County Daily Picayune\*\*.\* \*In some ways I do write for a living, by writing reports. Not much to report on lately. Just the same old same old, but anyway 😉.

First I would say you are making good progress with life. Its not always easy and yet you are staying the course. That is excellent and will get you far, so keep doing it 🙂. Set backs are only set backs when you allow them to be, so don’t let them be!

OK so pheromone advice. Yeah that’s why I’m here.

There’s something I’ve been saying to the guys for a long-time and sometimes I forget the ladies might need to hear it at times too. Its really a simple concept and I guess at times its easy to get caught up in all the hype of reports of grandiose results. Before I can really tell you what I think you have to first answer some questions for yourself B. The first one that comes to mind is what type of results were you going for? What do you want? Its not as simple as it reads as most people don’t have a clue what they really want. Really take some time and answer that question, but do it for yourself. Answer it without limitations or putting any type of external factors into the equation. It doesn’t matter what I think, or anyone else. It only matters to you what you want, so what exactly do you want?

With that written I want you to see some things from an outside perspective so if what I’m writing sounds harsh or mean, I can assure you its not my intent. I had to preface the rest of my post with that so there are no misconceptions.

I love life so much and everything about it. I love the highs, the lows, all of it. However know this much. It wasn’t all roses for me. There was a very low period in my life. Low enough where I embraced demons and slowly poisoned myself attempting to end the pain. There was a period that life was disposable to me and I desperately wanted the flame to extinguish. I don’t think 99% of the members of this forum have an inkling how low life can be and the problems I personally confronted. I could tell you about addictions, falling in love with someone only to discover she was a prostitute addicted to heroin. I could tell you about living on the streets, eating at soup kitchens. I could tell you about stealing to get by. I could tell you about desperation, fear, filth. I could tell you about being diagnosed with death. I could tell you.

Imagine wanting so long to just give up, to die, to end it all, end the misery and the pain and one day its dropped in your plate. All of a sudden death isn’t such a pleasant exit and something snaps. Something deep inside your very existence starts bubbling up. Creeping from below the pain, a place unbeknownst to you. It rises like bile from the pit of your stomach, like the very filth you live in. Overtaking your last shred of dignity, the very last bit of humanity you have left, tearing at the very fabric of your existence. It was my demise that much I can assure you. I had died alone and desperate. Except there was a tiny voice that cried out a question to me. “What do you really want out of life?”

It was really quite simple, and as I laughed, tears fell that left tiny trails of renewal over the grime on my face. The tears were like tiny miracles wiping away past misfortunes. Underneath all those layers of fear and despair I found myself. In an alley, homeless, alone, addicted, dying.

I knew right then that regardless of what happened, where ever the road I was on, whatever happened it was all going to be all right. I knew this because of that powerful simple question that hummed in my head like a chorus of angels. What did I want? I wanted death just moments before and that was exactly what I was getting. So why couldn’t I just change what I wanted, wash away the dirt, get off the road I was currently on and take another? Like those tears that steadily streamed down my face I made a commitment to always, ALWAYS, know what I want and to go after it. If I could get misery and death than clearly I could have happiness and life. If my half-hearted dim-witted attempts to “off myself” resulted in slowly killing myself than the opportunity to save myself if I put all my effort, all my ability into it was infinite!

I went to a local spot where immigrants waited for a daily job and humped my ass off on the docs unpacking 75 lb sacks of unroasted coffee onto pallets. Hell, I didn’t even have to leave since I had no place to go anyway. I just slept outside the place. Soon enough someone took notice and must have forgotten to lock the outside door to the locker room. From there I just kept getting closer to whatever it was I wanted out of life. Very shortly the death blow I was given was, now get this, a complete mistake. It was a freaking mistake. I wanted to die and dealt myself a death sentence. I wanted to live and my death sentence completely disintegrated.

How does any of this have anything to do with what you want out of your life? I think you already know that B. We have similar stories in life on very different roads, but rest assured they are quite alike. When I read you were using A314 and then doing this and that I applaud you, but I still have to ask, who are you doing it for? Just like what happened on your anniversary. Oh my friend, please go back and really think about it. Your husband loves you. He must right? I mean why would he stay with someone with so many issues and problems? Well maybe those issues and problems are just how you are perceiving your reality. Isn’t that why you are wearing A314 anyway? You said it yourself babe, you are wearing it to get the respect you so deserve. Sweetheart respect is only going to come when you respect yourself. I wish I could give you a great big bear hug and have that same voice that spoke to me speak to you.

Some members on here call it congruency and, I believe it was, Tisha wrote an excellent thread about it. I take it a step further though. Its not so much as being congruent with the signature because that would almost negate having to wear mones to begin with. However I absolutely believe you need to love yourself completely and know what you want. If you’re wearing mones so someone else can love you, your using them for something they cannot do. You already know this though, don’t you? Mones are only a tool to embellish the sexy on the inside and you as the person bring it all to the table. I’ve used the tool metaphor before but think of it like a paint-brush. In my hands you might get a half-painted barn if I don’t get bored first 😉. In Michelangelo’s hand you get the Sistine Chapel.

The mones are there to accent all the wonderful amazing things you are bringing to the marriage. You touch so many people with your writing, you sent people to the heavens, you’re an absolutely wonderful person with so much to offer and you expect the mones to do something? Babe they only enhance what you already are and when you feel like that’s not much, well I think you know the outcome.

I really hope I’m not offending you B. I so know you are on the right road and opportunities are abound. I know you get it, but we all need a course correction sometimes. I say unto you that your husband already adores you. Don’t wear the mones and watch for results. Wear the mones and create your own results.

He’s hyperactive, not necessarily athletic. I’m the one who hits the gym, used to ride horseback and play polo, used to play tennis, softball, etc.

Walk around Universal parks?

Lately, your guess is as good as mine. He is on lots of heart meds, and they’ve made him very apathetic. Hence my remarks that everything on our anniversary date was “okay.” His birthday is coming up now, and I haven’t a clue, and no idea what to do. The gifts I got him for our anniversary are sitting on the corner of the coffeetable now, right where he put them when he got done opening them.

We did used to go to a magic-type convention that usually happens in July, and that was his b’day present, but he got bored with that so we aren’t going this year.

Depends. If you’re a NYT best-selling author like my mentor, plenty. If you’re an ebook best-seller like me (whose best-sellers were co-authored, so royalties are split anyway), not much. Bloom Co. Daily Picayune indeed.

> Sweetheart respect is only going to come when you respect yourself.

It’s hard when you’ve had it literally slapped out of you. But you are right. I don’t like myself, I don’t think I’m pretty, I don’t respect myself - because I’ve been taught not to. And there are times when I flatly don’t care anymore, when if the oncoming semi crossed over into my lane, I wouldn’t bother cutting the steering wheel. But there are other times when I do care, passionately. I feel, especially after the cyst surgery and the menopause and $#!^, like I’m hanging onto a cliff face by my fingernails dug into a tiny crack.

I took all the advice you gave me, Steve, both here on the thread and in PMs, and I’m trying. I think tonight’s dinner out went rather better than it might have otherwise. It wasn’t planned, btw. We just did. I shut down the puter as soon as he arrived and got myself together for a simple dinner out - no makeup, but I did apply some mones (AND cops) - and tried to be a little flirtatious and teasing. (The mones and cops helped, but I was already doing that when he walked in.) We yakked a lot. He was tired - another side effect of the meds, as well as a busy schedule and a spoiled cat that thinks he should have company whenever he wants it (and hubby complies). So we didn’t do much except go to dinner at our favorite local hangout, then across the street to pick up a prescription and home. Now he’s stretched on the bed watching tv and I’m in the den on the laptop. That’s a normal evening for us now, but this time I SENT HIM THERE to rest.

This time I let the mones put ME into the right frame of mind instead of waiting for them to put HIM in a particular frame of mind.

There’s a part of me that’s still tired, that still feels like I’m clinging to a cliff by sheer will, and wonders if it wouldn’t be easier to let go. And I’m sure part of that is pure exhaustion from the surgery and its aftermath; I’m only a year out from the first surgery, and still have a few months to go before I’m a year out from the main surgery. I even just started taking ginseng to try to help MY energy. (Not to mention menopause symptoms.)

See, I might well have been an astronaut if the Challenger accident hadn’t occurred - I was a payload specialist candidate for a prototype that was to go up. But after Challenger, the prototype phase of my project was cancelled, and I didn’t go up. But I still have the same kind of mentality (minus the egos, and they DO have egos!) of “Failure is not an option.”

So my fingernails are still dug into that crack. I’m hanging on right now, hard as I can. But I’m looking for that next crack a little higher up.

We’ll see.

Astrea gave me a private response to my last post in this journal. I’m going to try to paraphrase it here. Basically she informed me that the most skilled rock- and mountain-climbers use the technique of wedging fingers (and I guess sometimes toes) into cracks in the rock, and work their way up that way.

I have some familiarity with rapel-type climbing (though I’ve never done it myself). And I know that that type requires someone belaying you and stopping your fall if you slip. Which means a partner.

And right now I haven’t really got a partner.

So I’m gonna find the cracks in the cliff face and see how high I can climb. I’d prefer a spacecraft, but hey. Don’t have that at the moment. That may come about when my book-to-movie gets greenlighted.

I think this journal is turning into something along the lines of an epic journey rather than a simple description of the pheromones I’ve been testing. Then again, epics were written about some of my ancestors, so why not?

OK my experimones came today! MX397 and -398! I tried some 397 - just a spritz smeared between both wrists - and went to the gym.

No immediate self-fx noted, but this was one killer gym workout. I usually throw everything I’ve got into it, but this one was really all out. And I managed it! To the point where I got lightheaded several times.

Other people fx - couldn’t tell a whole lot, but seemed like my trainer was even more encouraging than usual, and the gym staff very friendly and helpful. Also prone to asking me questions - we had a severe thunderstorm warning with mild rotation and I’m an NWS stormspotter, and was keeping an eye on the weather. (Temps 80s and humidity 100%)

Afterward, feeling **energetic** , (think about this - a killer workout, and I’m ENERGETIC) I popped by the grocery store and did some shopping, then went next door to the cafe and got a breve. Scampered on home and took my supplements then called my publisher, had a long talk with her about a whole buncha stuff. Wasn’t initially hungry but just now tucked away a good-sized meal (low carb, high protein, veggies) and feel good for it. Having fun watching hubby and cat roughhouse. 😃 Cat howling like a banshee. \>^.^\<

In other words, I’m movin’ out and getting a lot done. Feel energetic. Dunno if that’s from the 397 or not. I also added ginseng into my supplementation a couple days ago, and that could be kicking in.

In related news, weight is down 2lb since Tu and my “mushroom” is quite noticeably smaller; my workout capris, a recent purchase which originally fit well, are starting to slide down my bum. Gonna have to have 'em altered.

If people are sick and tired of the stuff in here that’s not directly about mones, let me know. I’ll go very clinical.

>
>
>
>
>

Oooops!!! 😮😮 My bad!!! So sorry! 😮 This is what it was sposed to be attached to! Such a bloody ditz, sometimes.

Heehee no prob, sweetie. 😉 (((Astrea)))

You should see what happens when I’m trying to post in FB sometimes. For some reason my FB page is prone to “jumping,” and sometimes trying to hit the link I want is a blasted pain in the arse.

Yes. Yes, as a matter of fact, I am. 🆒:D:cool::D:cool:

And I actually have hopes of getting a decent body back. Maybe even a sexy body back - which is what I’m shooting for. Like you said, gangsta bod, with a wicked scar on my six-pack!
