Fascinating article. While reading it I was wondering if the social exclusion we “all” feel can be mitigated through our use of [pheromones](https://a314.com/). Perhaps our own “mental visualization” is occurring thus limiting our pain, enabling us to go forward and still be social. Many people, rather than feeling the pain of rejection (social exclusion) would rather self reject on the premise its going to happen anyway and feel more in control by doing it to themselves rather than have someone else do it to them.

Nice find
