Hi, I ordered some pheros from another supplier (xist + cohesion) and got them both unscented, which I heard was less effective. Is an easy fix just to add some cologne to the bottles?

Apply as normal, let it dry down, then cover with cologne of choice.

Fairly easy to fix - if its sprays, you can layer and spray a cover with no problems, or if oils, you apply and spray the cover near by.

With oils, you can also mix-in a few drops of cologne, which is probably the more effective for them.

I don’t wear cologne or perfume when I’m wearing my pheros because I always think one of the many ingredients in colognes might degrade them or minimize their effects. Am I being too paranoid?

Also, can applying cologne on the same spot where one has applied pheros several hours before somehow ‘reactivate’ or increase diffusion?

It can, yes but pheros on your skin may have degraded to something else unsuitable.

Similarly, this is why topups often involve far smaller doses than the original mix.

Yes, some colognes/cosmetic products do contain compounds detrimental to pheros - Mainly cheap-shit stuff laden with triclosan or similar antibacterials but better colognes containing certain essential oils can too - Notably Sandalwood, Cedarwood and other such essential oils with antibacterial properties - all are death to pheros. Better quality colognes are generally much less of a risk. 🙂

So basically, I should be fine as long as there’s no physical contact between the two like if I just spray the cologne on my clothes?

Hi Treehugger, just spray cologne on yourself on a different spot than the mones, or on your clothes will be fine. A little “good” cologne covers the AD mones adequately. You may (will) need more than one spray to cover the XS mones.

My opinion, order a 30ml of 20% strength neroli scented, 200 proof organic alcohol. Then you only have to add a small amount to make it scented.

Also get an empty AD sprayer to pour the mix into

Get a 1 and/or 5 ml syringe to measure with.

A scented product will diffuse better than unscented.
The better it diffuses the better effects you will see

Spraying a layer of cologne somewhere else will improve the scent (if you worry about that), but won’t help diffusion
