# Can I buy Royal Oil on its own as a fragrance? I brought this up a few months ago but never got any info from on high… I really _love_ 🙂 🙂 🙂 the smell of the Royal Oil sample I got back in November - it is truly one of my all-time favourite smells, and I even use the single ultra-concentrated drop I received as a fragrance when I really want to impress. I’ve now tried a lot of different fragrance samples (non-pheromonal) from different sources, and this one still stands out as one of the very best. So my question: is there _any_ way I can get my hands on some more? I don’t care if it’s got no [pheromones](https://a314.com/) in it, and I’m not interested in A314 which has been “lightly scented” with the stuff - I want to use it as a genuine fragrance, and I’d like more than just a single drop. Someone mentioned in the previous thread that it was just oud. Having sampled a variety of ouds, I can now definitively say that this is simply not true - plain Oud doesn’t even come close to the transcendent smell of Royal Oil. Quite possibly oud is a component, but it’s far from the whole package. Is there any possibility this scent will ever be made accessible to us lay-people? You’d make a bomb selling it even in a non-pheromonal product, and even if it was outrageously expensive… ---

I believe royal oil and oud is the same thing, just different name. unless ofcourse Androtics have added something else into the royal oil, which in that case should be called something else because its simply is not just oud. ---

Androtics’ Royal Oil contains oud, among other things. I smell florals in it and I believe I’ve read it contains ambergris and real musk as well. Beautiful stuff. ---

An ebay merchant sells Indonesian Oud at the price of $13 per 6 cc. As I said in the OP and Carrie also pointed out, Royal Oil is definitely more than just oud - I get a distinct rose element from it. The oud I’ve smelt is almost nothing like it. ---

Hi. I am new here and loves scents that turn my mood on. I trevel during my work in Garment factory all over Asian countries. I love Oud, amber, musk, burning wood, stick or bakhoors incense. Even my neighbour cats & dogs love it when I burn incenses. I think Royal Oil & Oud are 2 diff items altogether. The best that I have tried is from ebay by QT store. His Oud Royal is really excellent. Its totally 100% Oud. I have tried all his Pure oud and its really excellent and work out for my mood when things turn bad. I am waiting for me to have longer base in Indonesia like 1 month before I make my next order from his ebay store. I do not want something send to me and I am gone to another place when the item reach me.
