I’m going to Indonesia in about a week and was thinking of bringing some [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) with me for some experimenting. I will be on the beach under the strong sun almost all day, so was thinking if its ok to wear pheromones. I know that regular cologne could stain your skin if your in the sun because of the alcohol (I think?).

Humans naturally produce pheromones in sweat, saliva and urine (as well a few other places), so you won’t be throwing nature a curve. As for the carriers used in artifical pheromones, it depends on the product. With that said I’ve lived in Hawaii most of my life and have no stains on my body after 4 years of pheromone use. Oil based products tend to stain clothing. Alcohol evaporates almost instantly in tropical sun.

Not seen anything about staining, but there is I understand an issue with diffusion rates. Androtics does offer their products in “hot” or “cold” environmnet formulations (if you ask them to). There were some posts concerning this on the forum. You may need to do “the dreaded Search” to find the posts.

Hot, sunny and humid weather cuts short the useful duration of pheromones.

Alcohol products will diffuse / be washed out in humidity and sweat within the hour, my experience anyway here and in Asia. Oil is more stubborn, so it goes for 3 hrs or so.

Also, if you going swimming, don’t waste your alcohol (some pun intended), since those products will totally disappear touching sea water. Oil can outlast a 30 mins swim, but just tiny traces will remain.

Haven’t paid attention to skin staining really, but I used lots of products in such conditions, and did not see any discoloration there, or in any weather come to think of it.

Unless in direct sun for an extended length of time or you sweat like a pig, my alcohol carrier [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/) are good for many hours. I don’t need to refresh until late in the day. However my application points–wrists, forearms & upper chest–don’t sweat much and we tend to stay indoors as it’s too damn hot outside. You can always apply to clothing if sweat is a problem.
