Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with 'mones helping leadership and or cooperation with youth, or effects on them.

I am an Eagle Scout (now an Assistant Scoutmaster in our troop now), and am always teaching new skills, activities, etc to the boys. Last week I had a particularly un-cooperative kid who it took me 4 times as long as it should of to teach some knot-tying skills because he has this attitude lately that he’s too cool for scouts and doesn’t want to learn anything. I got him to learn it eventually but I don’t want to have to practically force him everytime cause I don’t want to drive him out of the troop. I have very good social/people/leadership skills, am still well connected to youth and this is the first major roadblock I’ve had cause this kid has adopted such a thick persona (you know how kids/teens change completely almost every month sometimes!).

What would be a good combination for getting an even better learning atmosphere and encourage more cooperation for teaching youth? I guess this could be applied to mentoring and school situations too,
A314 comes to mind but I’m still new to all this.
-A
