# Can you change an oil based product to a spray

Hey guys,

Since I’ve been hearing about how oil based [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) are better in close range, is there a way to change it to use it as a spray base? Perhaps mixing it with cologne and spraying it on that way?

You can do, yes but as there are almost always dose/proportion differences between oils and sprays - even for versions of the same product, it can be unpredictable at best.

So test by diluting a small amount first, that way its no great loss if it doesn’t work for you. I’d suggest 1ml of oil into 3ml of spray or 1.5 into 5ml as a starting point. Most good colognes work fine - just avoid cheap ones laden with phero killers like triclosan.

However, mones in general work best when you work close-in. That way your personality and nuances of bearing/body language play an important supporting role. If you are hoping your spray will help get you hits across crowded rooms, it might be best of all to re-evaluate how you are going about using your mones.

Honestly i never had problems with oil based products to work on a lower range than the spray versions ..

i think you mean A314 ?

it’s the mones that diffuse and that do the trick .. not really the carrier

but what the carrier influences is the diffusion rate .. longevity of effects as well
