# College... help

I realize this might be a really stupid question, but I seriously cannot find the answer _anywhere_.

Alright, so I am applying to three different colleges. My parents wanted me to go ahead and apply at the bigger college now even though I don’t plan on attending it for another year. This sounds really dumb and as I’m typing I feel like I’m answering my own question and I probably am doing the worng thing by even applying (I don’t want to go against my parents though). Anyways… I do plan on eventually going to this college, but if I were to get accepted now and turn it down would that ruin my chances of being accepted in the future? I feel like this college is a very important part of my lifes plan and I wouldn’t want to hurt my chances of ever going there.

I do not think it will hurt at all. Infact, I believe you can get through admissions faster the second time around if you applied earlier and were already accepted at most schools. The best way to find out is to call them and ask yourself, but I really doubt it will hurt at all.
